Amazing place. Awesome service. The most beautiful cottage and setting, hot tub right next to the little stream hidden in the trees with stunning mountain and farm views.
I stayed the weekend with friends and it was such an amazing time. The accommodation is beautiful, fully equipped and has a gorgeous river running by it. The hot tub was so much fun as well.

Everything was perfect from communication after booking to the house being well prepared and situated in a beautiful location. The house interior is warm wood, clean and spacious with stunning views of the Welbedacht mountains across the orchards. The house is surrounded by trees and very private. We used the hot tub on both mornings and I recommend it. I would definitely go again.

If you're looking for tranquillity and a simple getaway, this is the place! Our family of 10 enjoyed our stay in cottage 1. We had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed the freshly baked bread/cake, jam, and beautiful flowers on arrival. A slice of paradise.
What an absolutely amazing place. The view, the house, the owner, everything was just top class. I will go back again and again and again. The house has everything you need, right down to a freshly baked bun when you arrive. The view is something to experience with the small stream that passes behind the house. The pool was a nice treat and of course the KolKol hot tub as well. I can't wait to go back again.

The cottages are located on a working fruit farm, but completely secluded and private. It is well equipped with a wonderful view of the orchards and mountains from the veranda. A babbling stream of water passes close by. Fireplace and KolKol hot tub for the colder days create a peaceful atmosphere. Truly a peaceful and relaxing experience. Variety of wine farms in immediate vicinity. Marisha runs the accommodation with a relaxed and friendly touch. Guests feel at home and comfortable with her.
The two houses next to each other can be quite disturbing if the people next door move around on the attic floors and move chairs.

We decided to spend our first wedding anniversary in the Tulbagh area and came across the Mont Rouge Cottages. The photos told of silence and environmental splendor, but the cottage took our breath away. We stayed in Kothuis 3 and decided as soon as we walked in that we would return again! The babbling river that runs under the deck of the cottage and the incredible mountains and fruit trees in bloom made for one unforgettable weekend. Mont Rouge Cottage is perfect if you want to take a breather!
Lovely house in a beautiful area.
This is a beautiful farm with a cute equipped cottage with everything you need, nature talks to you, invites you to go for a walk. The stream of water that runs past the cottage makes you so peaceful. The orchards are magically beautiful and the mountains make you super calm. The nice braai facilities on the stoepie and the fireplace inside make everything just perfect. Good times together with special people, playing cards, long walking sessions, fresh air, good food with a drink in hand. Mont Rouge brought it all together nicely. Thanks Marisha and team, it was great.
We stayed in cottage 2 at Mont Rouge. It was well kitted out for our needs as three people, and the stream in front of the cottage just sent you into relaxing mode from the moment we walked in the door. We loved the farm and enjoyed riding our bikes and walking. Really nothing bad to say!
My partner and I spent 3 days in the most tranquil and beautiful place. The Mont Rouge cottage for 2 was very neat with a peaceful stream underneath. The small balcony with a picnic bench and built-in braai was perfect for the evenings while looking over the vineyards to the mountain tops. Although it is a working farm, you very rarely hear any noise. I highly recommend this for a couple wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

We enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing environment out from the busy city life. A bit lonely, no other guests around. The only downside was on night 2 when it was very windy, the oak tree branches touching the corrugated iron roof and facerboards disturbed our sleep. Low hanging branches should be pruned.
