The Martins were great. Other homes should take instructions from them on 1) a dog-friendly/safe fenced garden, 2) a garden that is a welcoming, beautiful, and thoughtful space. The interior and stoep of the house in disability-friendly with a wheelchair ramp, larger doors and an accommodating shower. The only downside is the large garish homes the Montagu council allowed to build on the hillside behind Montagu Ronda View. They are eyesores; they ruin the lovely view. You have to visually tune them out.

Great stay again, did not disappoint on the second stay. Pet friendly, the dogs enjoyed being able to get the run of the garden. The hosts were available any time and told us about the walks in the area to walk the dogs. Inside fire for some cold nights, nice stoep with outside Braai and small pool for the hot days.

The accommodation was neat and clean, and as described on the website. Rex contacted us in advance and met and welcomed us at Ronda-View. Montagu on a winter weekend has challenges such as restaurants/shops that close early, but with a little planning it's not a big deal. We had a great time relaxing, thank you Rex.

Ronda view is well located and the spacious rondavels have a lovely deep veranda with braai and small pool. The sugar beaks often drink from the nectar that is hung for them in a tree and our children really enjoyed the turtle's visit. The house is well equipped inside and very tidy. We will stay here again.

Nice and quiet when you sit on the stoep and look out over "green belt". The house is well located and easy to walk to town. House has everything you need with indoor fireplace. House is neatly clean and well finished. Provide your own wood. Feel free to stop by the town's hotel and enjoy lunch there.

Rex was very helpful host, had a great time. Lots of walks in the area to take the dogs and Montagu has lots to see with shops, wine estates and restaurants in the town. The cottage is wheelchair friendly which I do not think is advertised.

Rex went out of his way to help us cross the flooded river to Ronda-View, which is a lovely and comfortable place to stay. The description on LekkeSlaap is quite accurate. It is truly dog-friendly (the only problem is that dogs are not permitted on nature walks in the Montagu area). If you are looking for a spacious, comfortable place with lovely views to stay, then this is it!

"Peaceful family holiday home."

Extremely neat house located in a quiet part of town. Short, even walking distance from the town as well as numerous hiking trails in the surrounding area. Pool provocative, ideal for hot summer days. Suitable as a wheelchair-friendly accommodation with spacious bathroom and living area. Definitely worth a longer visit!

Would have preferred a generator if the power was out. Power was really a concern. Also, there were no green cleaners for the whole week.

We came to town to visit family that lives down the road. The bungalow was the perfect location and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. Coffee, tea, sugar, cookies, lighters, matches, some wood, LED light for load shedding, candles, pepper and salt, toiletries and even washcloths. You get the idea. Everything is very thoughtfully arranged and done. The beds are also very comfortable. I personally also enjoyed the views and the garden surrounding the bungalow. One thing to be aware of is that the bedrooms have only a dividing wall, no ceiling. So sounds and light is shared. We would stay here again without any hesitation.

We really enjoyed staying here. Covered parking, DStv, WiFi, everything you need to barbecue, "splash pool", very spacious bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. There was even a bit of "blitz" to light the fire! We can recommend it to anyone to spend the night here.

We were kindly received by the owner upon our arrival. The accommodation was very neat and clean. All the necessities for the weekend were in the unit so we only took our food and drinks. The WiFi worked well and we could also watch DStv if we wanted. The fireplace in the living room is a winner and we had a fire on both days to keep out the cold. The garden is very beautiful and is fenced so pets can be taken along. The view is also very nice. We felt safe as we could set the alarm in the evening when we went to sleep. I would definitely recommend Ronda-View and we will definitely visit again.

What a nice weekend, we were so kindly welcomed by Rex. The rondavel was beautifully clean and nice and spacious, everything you need for a lovely visit. Our dog also really enjoyed it, there is a nice space outside to run around. The turtles were a delight for our little girl. We will definitely visit again.

House is well furnished and the swimming pool/paddling pool is also a very welcome idea for a town that can get terribly hot. I would perhaps only ask that one consider having a permanent net over the water for families with small children. The net can then only be moved away by those who want to use the pool.

"It was our sleep-in accommodation while our youngest daughter had a hockey tour in the region. So did not explore much but was comfortable the evenings and last day."

Loved the unique shape and concept of the unit. Did not have great weather to utilise the grounds but had a dog, so it was very pet-friendly.

Loadshedding did affect us but we were able to go to a restaurant in the town for dinner. The kitchen was well equipped and bedrooms and bathroom all well kept. A lovely garden with outlook onto the mountains.

We stayed 2 nights at Montagu Ronda-View with our dogs. The accommodation was clean and very comfortable. The unit had everything that made your stay very comfortable. Your car was parked under cover, by your front door, easy to unpack. The unit consists of a master bedroom, with good quality white linen, pillows and mattress. Our bed was made up in a queen size and there was a TV in the room. There were extra blankets for the cold nights. There is a second bedroom which we did not use. The bathroom is large with a toilet, sink and an extra large shower. Soap and bath towels are provided. There was a large mirror by the sink in the bathroom, as well as a full-length mirror on one wall. I have to say it was really nice, very few guesthouses have that luxury. The living area was large, equipped with a couch and two easy chairs. There is a fireplace with a small table with 4 chairs in front of the fireplace to eat at. There is a large TV with limited DStv channels with good reception. The kitchen is spacious with a nice big top with 4 bar stools that you can sit on. The kitchenette is equipped with a stove, large fridge, crockery, glassware, cutlery, pots, pans and every conceivable thing you need to use in your kitchen was there. Coffee, tea, sugar and milk as well as cookies were provided. There was also an air-conditioner in the living area for hot days. There was an outdoor grill and a weber you could grill on. Wood is provided for a one-time barbecue, so bring your own firewood and barbecue wood. We could not use the pool and veranda as it was cold. We did use the fireplace inside and it was lovely warm and cozy. The garden is well maintained and is a treat for the eyes. The host Rex was very friendly and helpful and respected our privacy. We can recommend Montagu Ronda-View for a nice stay.

Great place to stay, we did a quick overnight during a bike trip. Very neat, had everything we needed. Rex contacted me beforehand to make sure we got the keys when we arrived. Great service. Sitting on the porch with the fire going and looking out over the Montagu Mountains was exactly what we needed after a long day in the seat and dust. I would also recommend Ronda-View for a family stay over.

We did a road trip and on return to Little Brak River stayed two nights at the Montagu Ronda-View but next time a week, easily! What a wonderful stay! We were warmly welcomed by Rex and Hillary and the place was very clean and had everything we needed and more. Very tasteful interior and well overall design with a veranda, splash pool and braai viewing the surrounding mountains and open space with a lot of bird life. We will definitely be back in the future and will recommend to our friends. Thank you again Rex and Hillary.

We had a wonderful stay. The place is well situated in Montagu and easy to find. Had great communication with the owners, and collecting the keys was without hassle or wait. The house is spotlessly clean, well appointed and everything you need for a perfect self catering stay. Since it was winter, we made great use of the indoor fireplace, but we can imagine that in the summertime the outside shower and plunge pool will be fantastic.

Friendly welcome by the owners. Neat and so-so brand new house with a nice splash pool and beautiful views of the mountains. For small children it was slightly difficult to keep noise out of the rooms as there are no ceilings, but would still recommend the place.
