Everything one needs is there. Very nice to spend the night, quiet and peaceful, rooms were tidy.
Bloem is really a run-down town, drive to another town instead and don't drink the water. Place is cute. It's for conferences, so not personal with soaps and goodies that you usually get at a guest house, but it's good value for money. Place for caravan, very safe.
Top standard, my special requests were attended to.

Room on pictures that was booked was not the same at all. The bedding was not clean, and the duvet didn't even have a cover. The mattress of the double bed was worn, and I could feel the springs on the bed.
I am surprised with the place and service. Will definitely stay there again. Generally, towels are small.
The 'booked rooms' were great, tidy and definitely comfortable. The dirt road to the accommodation is definitely in need of a scratch, as the surface is heavily corrugated. After the recent rains there were a few farm dams you had to drive through but luckily that was part of the excitement.

For a single woman it was not at all appropriate. After my function I had to return to a pitch dark building. No lights, no security, no sign of other guests. Feeling extremely unsafe. Lighting in unit extremely poor. No TV.
Neat accommodation with everything you need. Hostess was very helpful and willing to help after we were stranded for 8 hours on Christmas Eve after our reservation at another place did not materialize. We are very grateful that she helped after they also did not have enough people working. Thank you very much again.

The location is conveniently close to the N1 and the city center but still in a quiet area.
It's a really cute place, but for the 3 days my husband was there there was no hot water at all. He complained about it, but nothing was done about it. The weather was a bit cold and then every day he had to shower in cold water and he had to boil the kettle for hot water to be able to shave.
Very friendly service and quality breakfast in a peaceful atmosphere.
The rooms were clean and equipped with the basics. Dinner was delicious.
We stayed the night, but had to visit friends. Just got the key and unpacked. On arrival, unpacked properly, and noticed the room smelled of wetness and smoke. Refrigerator or water leak caused the carpet to be wet and smelly. Game! Air conditioning also had very bad smell. Bed comfortable. Personally, I will not visit there again, even if the hostess was friendly. Believe it was an isolated case, but still cracks me up.
My children went to spend the night there, I made the booking. Their shower needs a 'deep-cleaning'. That's one thing that any accommodation must have 100% clean is a bathroom. Especially if it starts to go moldy. Unacceptable!!!
Stayed overnight. Everything was fine apart from the fact that the TV didn't work in my son's room and the fridge didn't close properly in our room. Accommodation was also not self-catering as originally requested. Nevertheless, the service was pleasant and very friendly.

The downside was the cats and the smell in the garden.
Unfortunately the cleaning was poor. Superficially it looks good but cobwebs in the bathroom, outside at the table on the porch, where we wanted to sit, there were many cigarette butts. Didn't make a good impression. Carpets were not clean either. WiFi didn't work.

The carpets were dirty. The bedding and bed need replacing. The shower needs a decent cleaning in the corners. And extremely disappointing when you don't have hot water after a long day's travel.

It was the second time we stayed there. We were once again very warmly welcomed and felt at home, slept well and were able to take on the rest of our trip the next day refreshed and well rested. Apart from the fact that the location of the guest house is a bit out of the city and the access road was not too good, the reception and cleanliness of the rooms made up for it.
I wouldn't have booked there if I didn't know in advance there were no meals. I only found out after I paid that there are no meals. Had to get back into the car after long hours on the road.
On arrival the room chosen and paid for, the geyser was broken. Spent the next hour or so trying to figure out where to stay with our family members. Louise was wonderful, she assisted however she could to try make us comfortable. The biggest complaint here is the cleanliness of the crockery, cutlery, kitchen area etc. The stove was probably cleaned months and months ago. There was laundry piled up against the dining area wall. We also then requested to please cook our dinner in the main kitchen where the breakfasts are served as it was raining and the smaller kitchen was so dirty, the main kitchen was just as dirty and hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Not sure if they only have one cleaner, or what the situation is. But we did not feel comfortable due to the reasons mentioned above.
The lodge is not bad looking and it is in a quiet area. The road is a nightmare and shakes everything that shouldn't shake. My problem is the broken chair in front of the room and then also the broken chair in the room. My wife almost sat down on the chair, but fortunately noticed in time that the legs were broken and the chair was completely paralyzed. What looks like a beautiful place from the outside definitely doesn't look like that on the inside. The finish needs attention as there are many paint-off spots even after the long "lockdown" period, the bathroom is not clean, the soap dish is completely loose and there is black mold on the grouting between the tiles indicating that the place is not cleaned well. The kettle is so dirty inside from starting that we didn't even want to drink coffee. I turned down Tuscan Lodge to stay here but unfortunately I will not stay there again. The managers are a pleasant, friendly lady. Small improvements will make the place look and feel much better. Thanks anyway.

Upon our arrival we were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. The room was modern and nice clean and tidy, with everything we needed at our disposal. The road to the lodge is not clearly marked and Google Maps had to be used. There is also a short section (1 - 2 km) which is a dirt road and some corrugated iron has been driven over (municipal road and not the lodge's responsibility). We really enjoyed the 2 days visiting the lodge and its people and also had a delicious breakfast every morning (at extra cost). Will definitely stay here again if the occasion calls for it.
On arrival key was gone. Aircon did not work. TV remote did not work. There was no hot water and was blowing her hair when their power went off without notice.

Clean and tidy lodge with everything you need. Staff are extremely patient and help where they can. The dirt road was just a bit rough for me with all the rain that fell. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Mirror in bathroom too small. Bathroom needs a bit of attention. TV is small and too far from bed. Breakfast was delicious. Slept well. Directions to lodge could be improved. Reception smelled like smoke. Staff was very friendly and helpful.
Coordinates after accommodation not correct, no ice in fridge, no place to eat near 500 meters dirt road. Okay, it rained and we had to plow through mud.
I'm sorry, but we were disappointed. Also no hairdryer, had to ask for one. The food at restaurant that was recommended was of terrible quality. We won't be staying there again. The tea and coffee in the room can also be improved.
Rooms are beautifully appointed and luxurious enough to feel pampered. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Actually too short a stay to write a fair review, but I suspect that any visitor will be able to have a very comfortable, safe and enjoyable stay.
Disappointed with the reception at other guest house. Extremely impersonal and we didn't feel welcome at all.
