We enjoyed our stay immensely, from arrival to departure we could find no fault. Personnel were friendly and courteous. Breakfast was exceptional, food was tasty and generously portioned. The owners were a delight, fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans ensuring all were on the same page. They bent over backwards to ensure our stay was as required.
Guest house is very well located, tidy and safe. Friendly reception and very friendly treatment during my stay.

Although the room was reasonable, it appeared shabby. Floor tiles in the bathroom shower are badly cracked and could cause injury. The coffee and tea and other amenities were inadequate. One positive was the breakfast.
For the two nights' stay it was easily arranged and the reception was friendly and efficient. Good breakfast with the hospitality of the landlady. Very well located, away from main road with no noise. Would recommend it to anyone.

Clean and modern rooms, bedding is white, but sheets are black. Staff friendly, owner not helpful or friendly. It's in the middle of a building site now. Pool is tiny. Not much play place for little kids. Breakfast average.
The stay was good. The room smelled a bit like smoke, but otherwise there was nothing to really complain about, apart from the poor service at breakfast.
Our accommdoation at Monte Video was comfortable the night that we stayed there. I would not recommend this guesthouse for longer stays. The fact that we stayed there during mass construction just outside their gate contributed a lot to this impression. Besides the construction I was impressed with the large shower and the delicious breakfast which left us satisfied and ready for the road back home.

A good stay.
Monte Vidéo is a great value-for-money proposition for families, couples or anyone for that matter. They were busy excavating the surrounding area due to new buildings going up, so when we visited (May 2015), it felt a bit like a scene from Indiana Jones while following the tiny road to the guest house itself - just a heads-up. I would say that a major plus point for them is their location, which is pretty much in the middle of everything 'Wellington' and surrounding wine farms and so on.
Had a good stay, I was just a bit disappointed in the room which was not the cost or example as on the website. Most of the DStv channels were also unavailable. Furthermore, the staff is very friendly and it is a peaceful area.
