The kitchenette is fully equipped for self-catering and contains a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, and cutlery and crockery. The living area has seating for 4 people, with a corner unit couch and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV with a selection of DSTV channels.
The private enclosed garden has a furnished gazebo with portable braai facilities. The carport offers parking space for 2 vehicles. Pet friendly with a maximum of 2 small house trained dogs allowed on request with the approval of owner. No puppies allowed. Under no circumstances must pets be left unattended in the guesthouse. The use of the patio with access to the secure garden can be used for this purpose. Dogs are not allowed to sleep on the beds or furniture. 27 guests' feedbackOur hostess received us very kindly. The place is super neat and clean, and she thought of the smallest detail when she decorated the place. Everything you need is there. The bedding is very clean and tidy and of very good quality. The fact that I could take my dog with me and that she could walk outside without the chance of her getting out of the yard was a huge bonus.
It was so nice to find accommodation that literally had everything you could possibly need. So comfortable, clean and beautiful. It was a feast to stay there.

Montroux exceeded our expectations. The unit had everything we could need. It was very cozy in the cold weather. We went for a lovely walk in the Clarens Nature Reserve which is just around the corner. Our dogs were very welcome and were safe in the fenced area. A very pleasant and helpful hostess. Lovely accommodation, clean and tidy, with everything you need and a garden to enjoy the outdoors. Close to hiking trails, lots of bird sounds.

The accommodation was everything we could have asked for. The unit is nice and quiet and is in a quiet part of town. The owner was very helpful and friendly. Unit is very neat, clean and well equipped with everything you need.
What an incredibly neat, spacious unit with extras you could never dream of. There was definitely enough to keep us cozy during the cold nights and we had no power outages. Would definitely recommend Montroux Self-Catering. Maybe just mention that side streets from main street in Clarens are all dirt roads.
Breathtaking break in the finest and fully equipped cottage in beautiful Clarens. Everything in and around the house was perfect, the environment was quiet and the braai place looked out over the garden, the mountain and a variety of little things. If you want to relax, book yourself a place at the beautiful house.

The cottage is an absolute little gem. Gorgeous sunroom to relax while reading a book or looking at the mountain. The rooms have sufficient space to move. The garden is very pet-friendly, and more than big enough to leave the dogs a bit while you go out. There are a couple of walking routes just down the road for a nice morning stroll in the fresh air. Lynda has thought of every little thing you could possibly need.
The yard is safe and well equipped for guests with dogs. Even dog beds and bowls for food and water are provided. The rooms are clean and tidy, beds sleep sweetly. Kitchen has everything you will need to prepare food. Great braai area.
