What a charming and impeccably furnished cottage! Its secluded location, overlooking the dam with other cottages tucked away behind Merlot Cottage, ensures absolute privacy. Our search for tranquility, serenity, and a conducive work environment led us here, and we were not disappointed. The reliable WiFi and smart TV, ready to connect to our favorite apps, cater perfectly to our needs. The bed is luxuriously comfortable, and the kitchen is fully equipped. Additionally, the bathroom is spacious, boasting a lovely hot shower with good pressure. Adding to the enchantment, two lovely ponies gracefully graze around the dam and in front of the house, safely behind a fence. We felt secure and safe both within the cottage and outside. I could easily extend my stay and will certainly come back for a midweek retreat focused on work.

Perfect central location should you choose to visit other villages, safe with night guards patrolling, extremely friendly host, nice outside braai area with nice socializing facilities, nice clean and cool pool to escape the Paarl heat. We enjoyed it greatly and will definitely stay at Mooi Bly again.

Very cute place with a beautiful view. Just felt a bit uncomfortable when the landlady told us about all the car break-ins and vagrants/criminals there. Other than that we had a nice stay, only one night unfortunately, but very nice.
The cottages are comfortable and the lovely farm atmosphere and animals immediately helped us to relax. My children had a great time swimming and there is no better hostess. We will definitely visit again.

What a beautiful place in Paarl. The farm is so beautiful with its animals and natural beauty and the accommodation is 10 out of 10. The owner went out of her way to make our visit so special. We will definitely go back again and will definitely recommend Mooi Bly to all our family and friends.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mooi Bly, not only is it situated on a stunning wine farm but there are horses and goats we could feed, beautiful geese and farm dogs that are very friendly. We enjoyed our nights sitting around the cozy indoor fireplace and our days outside roaming around the picturesque farm taking in all the beauty. Mooi Bly also offers a lovely educational wine tour and tasting on the farm which we thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you Liesbeth and family for your warm welcome. We will definitely be back.
Liesbeth was the ultimate host! With all the info beforehand (Eskom loadshedding incl) and during our stay as well as Monday morning exit with the road being washed away. Very beautiful with exceptional service.
Comfortable overnight accommodation for one night. Beautiful garden and lovely surroundings. Our time was limited and therefore we could not explore the area properly and at the same time the rain also kept us indoors.
We stayed here to explore the surrounding area and it was lovely to return to "home" and cool off in the pool. The accommodation is spacious and very tidy and the owners are very helpful and friendly. We would definitely recommend the place.
All the cottages at "Mooi bly" are excellent. It is far enough apart so that other visitors are far away and one is completely private. There are many animals and birds. The houses overlook a beautiful pond with geese and ducks. We were surprised and will stay there again. Pretty happy is much better for me than all the other places we have gone home in the past few years.
Linen and shower taps can do with an upgrade.

It is a peaceful atmosphere. Although the houses were fully booked and very close to each other, you could not tell that they were full. Only thing is that als must be locked and leave things out of your car. But it was a very nice place.

Due to problems with a booking at another place we had to book at the last minute at the Merlot cottage on Mooi Bly. The cottage is basically furnished and a bit rustic, but we could live with it. The problem, however, was that the fan and stand-alone air cooler (which works with water) were not very effective, especially if the cottage allowed in the Paarl's heat all day. So we had the nasty experience of a thief walking into the open door one night (left open for some cooler evening air) while we were inside and stealing my wallet. This would not have happened if there was a safety gate or effective air cooling (so we could keep the door closed). Another thing to note is that the wifi is terribly slow. The hostess is very friendly and offers very good communication. She kept us informed about the load shedding schedules all the time.
Wake up to birds, the wind through the trees, the view of the pond. My daughter and grandchild had so much fun swimming. Checking in and out was not a problem at all.
Everything exceeded our expectations. The host is lovely and we wanted for nothing. Stunning farm and the cottages are ideal. Our littles ones loved it. We will definitely be going back.

Liesbeth is a wonderful human being who made us feel right at home since the time we arrived. Always checking up on us whether we were still okay, and we shared such a lot. Having long talks. We really enjoyed the privacy and quiet as well. If a friend or family wishes to spend a nice peaceful time together, I recommended Mooi Bly without any reservations.

Oh wow this was our second time at Mooi Bly and definitely we are going again. We love the greenery and big garden with all types of beautiful flowers and plants. We enjoy and love the fact that we can go swim and having the pool to ourselves even if there is more guest we are able to keep our distance in the pool and all visitors are so friendly that's the vibe Mooi Bly offers. We love the spacious cottages and we found our favorite cottage, The Merlot, it's at the bottom house right opposite the beautiful clean dam where we have sunrise and sunset from our stoep. Liesbeth, you are truly a remarkable host and businesses lady always visiting and checking if we still enjoying our stay and has everything thank you for making sure we have wood and just a great stay.
Mooibly is an excellent place to stay for someone who has something to do in Paarl or Wellington, or just to relax. The cottages are cosy, and we were welcomed with a warm log fire. Liesbeth was perfectly willing to receive me late, as I only arrived there at about 20:30. The next morning I was amazed at the beauty and cleanliness of the gardens around the cottages. The access road was a bit of a challenge, but it's only a few hundred meters, and totally worth it!
It was much better than we expected. We will definitely come again in the future!

We did a two-night stay and as it turned out, the weather was awful with rain and low clouds, so we stayed in the cottage longer than we had planned. The cottage was really good and very comfortable and most of all warm! We will probably go back one day when the weather is better. It's a great base for doing the Swartland wine area.

Liesbeth and Erik experienced us as cordial. The thatched house was delightfully cool even though it was hot outside. The garden is lovely and ideal for family or special photos. Also tried fishing in the pond, caught nothing but saw two fish swim by. If you are sensitive to mosquitoes, take precautions.

Mooi Bly is close to the hospital and ideal for those who want to visit the hospital and still want to stay in a quiet and safe environment. One immediately relaxes in the farm atmosphere with the pond and mountains overlooking the unit.
Mooi Bly is a beautiful farm with a large garden that is looked after with a lot of love. Our porch looked out over the pond and the mountains in the distance. One would swear you are hundreds of kilometers from any major town or city. We also went jogging on the farm and the feeling of nature around you is so good for the soul. Liesbeth is very cute and she made us feel very much at home. We will definitely be back and recommend it to other people.

It takes a good 20 minutes to get to the Paarl, so it's slightly further than we thought. Beautiful farm/plot atmosphere and very neat and friendly. The accommodation feels like you are in the game park in a cabin. Water pressure in showers is extremely weak and makes washing hair difficult. Safety is an issue and nothing can be left or left outside at any time - personal safety is not the issue but theft is. Overall we had a nice stay, but I expected a bit more for the price as far as the cottages are concerned - TV limited.
Beautiful surroundings but cleanliness of cottages and bedding was not up to standard. Hostess alerted us daily of people stealing and it made us uneasy.
We arranged a short get away and booked the same day we arrived. We received great service and a clean unit. They really accommodated us well, and our little infant.

Moobly is just what we need. We can cook and sleep and come and go as we please and yet it is so beautiful and peaceful that sometimes we just stay here and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Swimming pool for cooling off, beautiful garden and peaceful farm atmosphere, but only about 5 km from the nearest supermarket. Suited us perfectly as a base from which to explore the area. Mooi Bly was absolutely perfect for our purposes. Although my colleague and I had to come in late at night after work, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Early in the morning with a hot cup of coffee we could sit on the veranda with a breathtaking view of the dam and farm. The unit was neat, clean and very spacious. I have to be very honest, it was "disturbing" for us to see the guard walking around! I know it's for our own safety, but not something I want to "feel" when I break away.
Mooibly was a very nice experience. Our cottage was very well equipped, neat and clean. The host and hostess were very friendly and helpful and we will definitely stay at Mooibly again when we are in Paarl again.

There is a lot of space in the cottage. We had a cottage with 2 bedrooms and a sleeping facility on the first floor. Every day a quick cleaning. Interior is basic. Owners very helpful and friendly.

We had a wonderful stay at Mooibly. Elsabeth and Erik are very friendly people and we enjoyed chatting with them. The chalet is well equipped, has a lovely fireplace inside and also some panel heaters. The rooms are a bit cold for my liking and the blankets a bit small for the cold weather we experienced. It was great for the little ones to be able to run around and explore outside, without us having to worry about where they were all the time. I would definitely recommend it! Just take a hot water bag or 2 with you if you go in the winter.

Nice environment.
It was a lovely break from the city, but still accessible close to the attractions in the Cape. It is nice to communicate directly with the friendly, Belgian owners of a place. Mooi Bly is not luxury or sophisticated hotel accommodation. There are e.g. not exactly television catch-up. I would recommend it to people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and just experience tranquility and peace.

There is a large animal family on Mooi Bly starting with 6 dogs, 2 cats, 6 horses, 5 geese, 2 goats, a rooster and some chickens.
Bird lovers will love it, over 70 bird species have been identified on the farm.
Unfortunately no pets allowed.
Please note that over weekends only 2 night stays and during long weekends 3 night stays are accepted.
All cottages receive a "guest house service" on a regular basis, but not on weekends and public holidays. However, the host will be available in case guests need something.
Guests also have access to free WiFi, but please note that WiFi is limited and weather-dependent as the property is found on a farm.
There is no generator to cover power outages.

Description
These units feature 3 bedrooms fitted with 3 twin rooms and 2 bathrooms both fitted with a shower, toilet and basins. All cottages are spacious, have a fully equipped kitchen, a fan in each bedroom and an open fire for cosy winter evening. Each cottage has its own patio with braai facilities.

Description
The Vineyard Cottage features a queen-size bed with walk-in closet and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. There is a washing machine too. The cottage also has a fully-equipped kitchen with oven, stove, microwave and fridge and a lounge with dining room. There is also a cast iron wood stove, a private patio with braai and OpenView TV. Guests are allowed to use the swimming pool of the guesthouse. Once a week new sheets and towels will be provided and the cottage will receive a cleaning service once a week too.

Mooi Bly Estate comprises 6 cottages. Each cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and is serviced daily, except Sundays and public holidays. Guests have access to a TV with Open View HD a private patio and braai facilities. Guests also have use of a swimming pool, filled with fresh mountain water.
Guests also have access to free Wi-Fi in the cottages. Please note that we are on a farm and that Wi-Fi is limited and weather depending.
