We had a great time at Mooigezicht. The place is well equipped with everything needed. It is well located, walking distance from the town, but still quiet and peaceful, with a nice view. I can recommend the place with peace of mind and will gladly use the accommodation again in the future.

This place was a pleasure, the host’s instructions were clear on how to check in and once in everything was there. Fresh milk for the morning coffee, hairdryer and the place was neat, modern with a cosy feel.
A wonderfully quaint clean and tidy home away from home! Within walking distance of the town square, family orientated, warm and cosy - all the necessities were there, even a stool for this shorty! We are thankful to the owners that we could take our small doggo with us, but it’s not closed off, we took him outside with his leash. Clarissa was amazing, so caring and thoughtful as were the cleaning staff,thank you Mooigezicht solar powered Accommodation for the lovely memories of my Clarens birthday weekend.
We were kept informed the whole time, follow up text messages of when we were checked in, friendly service comfortable clean tidy rooms. Everything is connected to inverters it was so nice not to have load shedding part of our anniversary weekend.
It's a well equipped house ideal for Clarens cold weather conditions with electric blankets etc. However, we could not get the fireplace going. Too few fire lighters and it wanted to appear as if the wood was clammy, but a gas heater was the solution. The house is very centrally located. Within walking distance of the business area and close to the reserve for walking.
We were kindly welcomed. There is ample space for children to play. Quiet area, but perfectly within walking distance of everything. Wonderful fireplace to keep you warm in the cold winter months and no load shedding!

The perfect place to stay in Clarens! It's still in town, but out of the busiest part. It is well equipped with warm blankets on all the beds, underfloor heating, a gas heater and two blower heaters. There are also more than enough blankets available and a nice fireplace. We would stay here again anytime!

We experienced a water problem on Friday night and Clarissa immediately attended to it with no hesitation at all. We will recommend it to any one.
We were received very kindly. Everything needed was provided. The place was neat and clean. We had a wonderful time on the porch and were quite protected from wind and weather. Although we were walking distance from shops we were afraid of traffic and maybe music noise, but didn't have that problem. Will use and recommend the place again as the price is also very good. Main street close to the industrial area with a lot of traffic from workers to and from work.
It was nice weather so we could have a nice barbecue outside, the location was perfect so we could walk everywhere we wanted to be, it really was the perfect weekend.

With enough sleeping space for 4 children and mountains everywhere in sight, this is a very nice getaway spot. It's also within walking distance of the Clarens market square and most of the restaurants.

I went looking for 5 days of rest and switch off with my mother and found it. The Studio was comfortable, clean and furnished with beautiful, practical antiques with all modern necessities. Just one suggestion would be to make the shower parent-friendly by adding a handrail to the wall inside. But we will definitely want to visit there again!

We had a great stay at Mooigezicht. The house offers exactly what you want if you want to have fun, braai, side dishes and relax while the kids can play safely outside. Melissa and the other staff's hospitality and friendliness is contagious. We will definitely kick off our shoes here again.

We had a wonderful stay just had a bit of a power problem for 2 days, when we shower then the taps shock you. Management immediately informed Eskom and it was then fixed on day 2. Would also suggest that a cupboard be put in as we had to live out of our suitcases due to lack of a cupboard.
We had rented the studio. Excellent contact and reception landlord. Big enough for 2 people, car behind one gate and clean overall. Bed is due for replacement! Next to the studio, there is one larger accommodation for rent on the same location and several large cottages at the back. So with full rental it will certainly not be quiet.
A nice place but the pictures promise more. The pictures look like it's a modern place but the rooms (the furniture) and especially the bathroom is quite old. But nice location and a lovely garden.
We were welcomed very friendly to a very clean and excellent equipped house. The house really has everything you need. We were 6 people and a baby and all we needed were there. I would recommend this place to anyone!
Mooigezicht is a cosy 2 person suite on Main Road in Clarens just past the centre of town and therefore within walking distance of everything. The suite is not spacious, but clean and comfortable with off-street safe parking. The owners live above the suite. We enjoyed our few nights there and are due to return there shortly. My only criticism is there is no built-in cupboards with shelves in which one can unpack clothing and hang up jackets etc.
Marlene has a winning recipe. Neat, affordable, yet nothing was neglected. Go see for yourself!

Very convenient location for Lesotho, Golden Gate and Eastern OFS. Good sized patio and beautiful garden overlooking scenic valley. Comfortable and neat bedrooms. 2 decent sized bathrooms and WC. Large enough kitchen, however cupboard doors and drawers need maintenance and tidying. Pots old and needed cleaning. Carpet stained in places especially living area. One bathroom door broken, it doesn't shut properly making bathroom unusable.
Upon arrival I had to drive behind the owners friend/employee (with trailer) to go and pick up the keys. When we arrived at the house I had to open the gate in the rain because the gate does not have a motor. The furniture is run down and carpets full of marks. Extra pillows do not have covers and is full of marks. Atmosphere in the house was not clean. It was my first time in Clarens and even though it is a cute town I definitely wouldn't stay at Mooigezicht again.

We arrived quite late but Marlene van Mooigezicht was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed every moment there. Apart from the fact that it is clean and tidy, they are well equipped for the cold that Clarens can get. We will definitely stay there again!
For older people and small children, the stairs to the cottage may be too steep and unsafe. Tall people just have to be aware of the low parts of the ceiling in the corners of the rooms. Otherwise, it is a very pleasant place to just relax.
We had a wonderful stay. Was only going to stay one night, but then just stayed another night. Good service, very tidy and very spacious.
