We had a great time in the forest! It's away from the hustle and bustle and gives you a chance to relax. The untouched nature is good for the soul!
The cabins available at Moon Shine on Whiskey Creek go above and beyond the standard forest cabin, with all the amenities you will need. The units are quiet, well-equipped, and situated in the stunning forested hills of Plettenberg Bay.
Here we completely relaxed, even though it was raining. Away from all the hustle and bustle and one could just take in and enjoy nature. The owners were always available and willing to help. Would definitely recommend and will go there again.

3-night stay was very comfortable. Bird watching was good. The hike down to Whiskey Creek and the waterfall was amazing and totally worth it.

Living in nature. Clean, fresh, no people. The location felt like living in the woods. Peace and quiet. Owners paid attention to detail.
We stayed 4 nights in the Fly me to the moon cottage. It was really special. One can stare into the distance for hours from the balcony or from the bed. It feels like you are miles out of the city but you are actually so close to everything. The stove made for lovely warm evenings in the early winter. The cottage itself is equipped with everything one needs and is completely spacious enough for 2, there is actually a surprising amount of storage space available. We also walked to the swimming hole. The waterfall wasn't running, but we still really enjoyed the walk.
What a special place and people. There is everything one needs without the noise of the city. Would definitely recommend if you need absolute peace and quiet.

Lovely wooden houses with enough privacy. The facilities are clean and well maintained. Everything we needed was at hand. Practical layout with no faulty devices. The fireplace provides a cozy atmosphere, and the wooden house is deliciously warm in minutes!

We just loved everything about this place. The location is just so beatuiful and tranquil, the hosts are super helpful and friendly and the accommodation has everything you need to enjoy your stay. The cabin has been carefully furnished and you can see a lot of extra thinking and love went into the design and furnishing. Every little detail was thought of. The only problem we had is that 2 nights was not long enough. We will go back sometime.

We stayed one night at Moonshine on Whiskey and it was hopelessly too little! On recommendation, we went to eat early at Enrico's in Keurboomstrand and could watch the sun set from the deck. An incredible view! It was wonderful to stay in a log house in the woods with only trees around us. The unit was spotless and there was a box full of wood waiting at the front door when we got home after dinner. The hiking trail is beautiful, but due to time, we could only do half of it.
We enjoyed our stay at Moon Shine. We have been treated with warmth and friendliness. Even though the evenings were very cold, wood is provided and it was awesome to have a nice, warm fire inside the cabin. The only thing we would like to recommend as an improvement in order to get value for money, is to ensure that the towels are kept fresh upon arrival - perhaps consider a bigger and thicker type towel. In addition, the quality of the toilet paper does not meet the standard. However, overall, on average, a great experience.
Moon Shine is a wonderful place to break away for 2 people without cell-phone reception in nature.

Centrally located, quiet in nature. Fire hearth in Firefly is a plus. Walking path in natural forest, abundant bird life. Knysna peeps, sugar beaks, noise maker janfrederik and much more. Sunrise with the Tsitsikamma Mountains in the distance. A must on your bucket list.

We stayed in the "honeymoon" unit. The unit is designed to make you feel part of nature and surroundings - absolutely private and unique. Particularly striking was the confluence of unique engineering ingenuity to build the unit between the trees - and the interior (lots of use of "re-cycled" materials which are absolutely fantastic).
We stayed in the honeymoon suite (on our two year anniversary) and it was sublime. The unit was neat, clean, and very comfortable. The view over the trees into the valley was amazing. The outdoor shower was a touch disconcerting at first, but completely surrounded by dense forest, we got used to it very quickly. You're close to the N2, but still feel like you're the only people in the world. Lying on the raised bed, reading and enjoying the view was wonderfully restful. We will be back!
We really enjoyed our stay. Between the trees with the sea sand under our feet. What an excellent place to rejuvenate. Super neat and clean. Would definitely go back there ... tomorrow if I could.
Four of us stayed here for a week and it was a very pleasant experience. The cabin was lovely with stunning views and we saw some beautiful butterflies. The bird life was also good. The pool area is great and the hike was enjoyable.

The "Fly Me to the Moon Cabin" is truly something to experience. The place is perfectly placed in the forest with the most beautiful view over the valley. Everything inside is creative and extremely neat. Mosquitoes were a bit of a problem, so take something with you for that. It's the ideal romantic overnight stop.
