My stay at Morning Star Guest House was very nice, in a secluded area. The people are very friendly and it's a very quiet area to relax.

The 'room' was exactly what we expected. I loved the idea that there was a 'laundry place' as we were there for approximately two weeks. The place is about a 1.5km walk away from the beach - and it's a really scenic walk. We love taking a walk every day. However, we found it difficult to navigate on the first day. Our GPS was taking us to a different location. We had a misunderstanding regarding when we wanted the room cleaned, but we had that sorted out.
Wasn't 100% a.g.v. not an ant problem. Floors look clean, but after 6 steps feet are pitch black underneath. Refrigerator was dirty inside. Since it is near the sea, I know that things can rust easily, but care can be taken not to let it get too bad. The hostess was also not very talkative and did not want to know what time we were going to arrive, or when we were going to leave to make arrangements with the key. She didn't even know which unit we booked, although she could help with an extra day's stay, but I had to leave cash on the table. It is a safe place and the vehicle is also safe because there are cameras. Other than that, everything was calm.
We had to wait for our host to open up. The back door could not lock. The door was open and there was no key. The bathroom door was broken and could only be opened from the outside. The shower door could not close. The headboards on the beds were not secured.
When we got to the house, the cleaning lady was still busy cleaning the kitchen with dishes from the previous stay. We had to wait outside, but I asked if we could go in for a while after our long drive. I had informed the host that we would arrive around 12pm, but we got there before 1pm. While we were in the house, they were still cleaning the kitchen. I checked if the lights in the bedrooms worked, and our bedroom light was not working. I phoned the host to let her know, and she said she would get a bulb. I informed her that we were leaving at 3pm to be somewhere and that we would arrive after 7pm. When we got back home, I saw that the light was working. I don't know how they entered the house. We also could not use the braai facility because people were drinking outside by our kitchen the whole night. The washing of those people hung on chairs outside, and it really looked disgusting. Please take your own TV because the TV looks like a PC monitor. If people go in winter, take your own bedding because the duvets are very thin.

Yes, we had a nice stay, but the place is too small for two people. We were mostly off the road for the day.
