The unit is situated on the property of a beautifully restored historic homestead, only a stone throw's distance from the beach. The unit can easily accommodate 2 guests, consisting of 1 en-suite bedroom, a living area, and a kitchen. The bedroom contains a double bed and has a view towards the road. The bathroom has a large shower, a toilet and a basin. Though the unit is next to the main house, it is completely separate and has its own private entrance. There is an open-plan kitchen and lounge area. The kitchen is equipped with beautiful countertops, a toaster oven with a 2-plate stove, a microwave, toaster, and kettle. The living room is equipped with a TV and the full DStv bouquet
A separate additional en-suite room is available on request for 2 extra guests. The room is not in the same building as the self-catering apartment (about 25 meters apart) and has an en-suite bathroom with a shower and bath. This room is not suitable for small children and can only be booked in conjunction with the main apartment.
Sliding doors open out onto the patio area where guests are welcome to use the braai facilities and enjoy the lovely weather.
There are numerous nature reserves and hiking trails close by and the V & A Waterfront, Cape Town CBD and Table Mountain are all no more than a 30-minute drive away. Various wine routes are just a 20-minute drive away.

Mostert Self-catering is really very, very good. It is close to all the restaurants in Melkbosstrand - Annelise and Johan are the nicest people you can imagine. The apartment is completely private and very well furnished too. We will definitely stay there again and we can really recommend them.
It's right by the sea and everything was spotless and tidy. Everything is there that one needs. They are warm people and we enjoyed our stay immensely. I can recommend it to everyone!
