14 guests' feedbackThe lodge is wonderfully located and set out, rooms are generally well laid out but management is poor which made our stay not very nice. 4 people only 2 towels in room. No gas bottle for gas stove. 4 people but only 3 chairs on patio. 4 different patterns of cutlery. 6 different patterns of glassware. Dirty marks on walls. Mould in shower. Cockroaches in kitchen (left one we caught under a glass for staff to see). Roof on patio leaked. Hotel information sheets sticky with what looked like drink and food spills. Bedroom door couldn't be opened had to use a knife passed under the door by friends and by the damage to the door it has happened before. Someone had previously used plastic tape to try hold latch in. Finally, breakfast was served from 07:00 to 09:00. We arrived at 07:10 to be told the chef / manager had gone to town to buy items for breakfast. We waited until 07:25 and then left. We had booked B&B two weeks earlier so surely they had their goods they needed. Expecting a refund but doubt it will happen.
It is a beautiful environment, very tidy, our cottage was just not equipped with all the necessary crockery, it was very incomplete, however, after we asked, they provided us with the necessary.
Very neat place and is recommended.
Pleasant establishment that is still being built in places. Meals took some time to prepare but were fine. Perhaps needs better signage at entrance as we drove past it in the evening light. Didn't have any self-catering facilities in our room except kettle but the staff assisted us by opening up the kitchen for us to use.

Atmosphere and general experience was very positive. It is beautiful there and you get quality, value for money.
Enjoyed the stay, but the construction work is overwhelming. Rather go there once they're finished.
Mount Azimbo Lodge is voorwaar 'n vyfster-lodge. Die personeel is professioneel en vriendelik. Die blyplek is skoon en netjies en voldoende toegerus. Ons het 'n wonderlike tydjie gehad en sal verseker weer daar gaan bly!
The lodge is close to the main road and the traffic (trucks) at night was quite disturbing.
We were pleasantly surprised to find such a beautiful place on such short notice. The service was excellent and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you!
What a great experience! The reception we got from Mare was fantastic. We got a welcome drink and had a great time. The rooms are great, clean and the location is very safety. The staff is very friendly and the cook is top notch. I will definitely visit there again!
Mr Kruger and Daughter are very hospitable... we had a very nice stay. Place is very neat and safe.
Very friendly reception, excellent cook and pleasant stay.
The TV was out of order on arrival and the number of channels was limited to 4 which was not acceptable to us. The room layout was not very practical. There was also too little space and storage for our bags and other equipment. However, the owner, Mare Kruger, was kind enough to accommodate us for two of the 4 days in a large cottage with full DSTv at no extra cost. Many thanks for this excellent service by him. Ambani, the cook, is an amazing cook and we really enjoyed his food.
