It suited my needs well. Located, I would stay again when in the area.
My partner and I had a very difficult drive because of the roadworks on the N3. We were received by friendly staff late at night because of driving delays. The rooms were very modern and comfortable, with basic necessities. The big bathtub was a lovely bonus after the rough day we had. Unfortunately, we missed the dinner and breakfast buffet, but the garage had a few fast food options. We didn't have a long stay, but we enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again.
It was as expected - the position is perfect for overnight journey break-ups from Transkei to Gauteng.
Rooms are clean and have a microwave available. Just would not recommend Room 15. It had a horrendous sewage smell.

Comfortable bed. Room cold. Shower and basin not clean. No door handle inside bathroom.
On arrival, we found that the accommodation we were allocated, Unit 9, did not have a car port. When attempting to shower, we had no hot water and found the gas bottle was empty and had to be changed (should have been checked before arrival).
The restaurant was excellent! Staff were very friendly. The electric blankets were really appreciated on the cold winter night.

It is a neat place, location good. I was unfortunately given a room where the drain outside was blocked. My room smelled like a sewage farm. I reported it to reception the next morning. Would have at least expected management to give me a bell. But no, keeping quiet is also an answer. So yes, R950 was not worth it for that room.

We've driven past Mount Currie a lot but never really taken an interest. We were surprised with the excellent service and cleanliness of the units. The gardens are so beautifully maintained. It was definitely worth the money!
Neat, clean and affordable.
Liquor and women dropped off throughout the night. Finally at 4am it became quiet. Tried all the contact numbers supplied in the info folder to no avail. Not even security answered.
They call themselves a hotel, no food or drinks available on arrival and the receptionist just apologised. I had to insist to speak to the manager who then kindly agreed to come from her house and serve drinks for us. The Wi-Fi wasn't working either and they had to get someone to come and reboot the router - reception was poor in the room we occupied. If I had known there are no services like food or drinks available I would not have booked at this establishment. The ad on your website shows that all these services are available.

The sliding gate is permanently open and there were people who drove in and stood around who did not stay there. There is a security booth, but the guard was rarely there. The location is also misleading from the photos, it's on the same site as a petrol station so it's quite busy with vehicles driving in and out all the time (also playing loud music sometimes). A small fridge would be quite an advantage (although the Engen 1 Stop is just around the corner, literally).
Good enough for overnight but wouldn't stay there for more than 2 days, very small and basic.
Toilet leaked and did not want to give another room. Had to throw towels on the floor to catch toilet water. Unit is getting old and not well maintained.
After all the negative comments there were. I must honestly say read past it and go enjoy your stay everything has definitely been looked at and changed. Thank you very much for you.
The friendly and efficient service at reception was particularly noteworthy. Wi-fi and available television channels were a bonus.
Firstly the reception could have been friendlier. Our room was not big enough to swing a cat let alone accommodate two people. There is only one chair in the room for two and we did not have any furniture on the stoep. The room does not have a shower and it was near impossible to bath in the small tub. You cannot close the bathroom door properly from the inside. Definitely not suitable for old people. For dinner we were told there is a buffet. This consisted out of a green bean and potato mix, rice, pumpkin, chicken wings and chops. Hardly a buffet by any imagination and the chef's ability ends at Aromat for seasoning. The Inn is located behind a large petrol station with many people awaiting taxis and busses at the hotel entrance. They should show a full view of the front of the Inn on their web page to give a good idea what it looks like. It was strangely also the most expensive stay we had during our trip.
At reception, 3 ladies just looked at me without greeting, just put a key in my hand and didn't make us feel welcome. I had to go and look for the room and there were no cooking facilities, so I had to spend more money on take-away meals. I'd rather stay somewhere else next time.
