We had the most amazing time at Mount Sheba Rainforest Hotel and Resort. Everything ran smoothly, our room was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. (A special mention must be made about Mavis; she is a gem!)
The resort is like a hidden treasure. Right located. Entire resort is well maintained. Definitely 4 star accommodation.

What a superb lodge, customer care is amazing, beautiful surroundings, delicious food and rooms extremely comfortable! Turn down service is a huge bonus when your electric blanket is on when you get back from dinner! The road to the lodge is a little bit of a challenge if you don't have a car with clearance, not impossible just a little rough! But a beautiful scenic drive!

We stayed overnight while traveling. It was perfect for one night.
This is a very picturesque place to stay, with lots of local attractions nearby and things to do on the estate. The weather wasn't very good for us, but we were still able to go on 2 of the hikes and enjoy the scenery and wildlife. The road to the resort is a bit difficult (not tarmac) but we were warned about this in advance.
Food is delicious. Fireplace in room and dining room was a plus. Hiking trails were beautiful and the waterfalls also beautiful. Management is helpful and would perhaps just recommend that the road to the lodge be looked at.
It took us over an hour to log in. On arrival we were informed of a R500 breaking deposit which was not communicated to us beforehand. They gave us an inspection list. Upon arrival at the unit we went through the list. There were 5 items not there. We reported it immediately upon receipt. The attitude we received from management was power and left much to be desired. We were informed that the inspection list and breakage deposit is there because they steal from guests regularly. We insisted that someone go with us to the unit to make sure of what is in the unit and correct the inspection list before we take ownership. My recommendation would be if anyone decides to stay here to also get someone to verify the inspection list before you take ownership of the unit for the duration of your stay. Furthermore, the unit was tidy.
Really enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed linen and towels were a bit stained and could possibly be checked prior to guest arrival. The views and tranquility were fantastic and we enjoyed our stay.
