This fully furnished, solar-powered house can accommodate up to 8 persons and consists of 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The main bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, the second bedroom is equipped with a queen-size bed, and the third bedroom has 4 single beds. Both bath and shower facilities are available in the bathrooms.
The farmhouse has a well-equipped kitchen that contains a gas countertop stove, an oven, a microwave, a fridge-freezer, and a selection of utensils, crockery and cutlery to use. The adjacent open-plan living area has a large dining table with seating where guests can enjoy their meals together, sofas to relax on, and a wood-burning fireplace.
The living area leads out to the verandah, which overlooks the rock splash pool. In addition, the house has a braai area that guests are welcome to use, and a kiddies play area as well. Secure parking is available on the property. It is recommended that the property can only be accessed by an SUV or high clearance vehicles.

We had the best time at Mountain Haven Villa. Such a lovely home and the owner was so friendly and helpful. I will go back any time. The house is so big and spacious and has a lovely braai area with a swimming pool.
This house was perfect for our trip. Even though it was a large house, it felt like a warm and friendly home. Remote, but close enough to little towns and mountain passes to get out and explore when you want to. It has all the conveniences you could need, plus retro games and DVD/video machines. The kitchen had everything in it. It's easy when you get the hang of the solar/gas/generator system. Beds and linen were top-notch. The road to the house needs a high clearance vehicle, especially in winter.
Our stay was amazing and peaceful. We had such a good time. On arrival, the host provided us with a freshly baked homemade bread that was delicious. The villa is spacious and has everything that you need and more. Even though it is off the grid, we never had any issues or felt the difference.
We had a family weekend. The house is spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Despite rain, we were able to enjoy the spacious porch and fireplace. We were received kindly and hospitably, and appreciated the details such as wood, fresh flowers, home-baked bread.
We were 2 x families with children - 15 and under. Very nice stay - if we could, we would definitely have stayed longer! The fresh bread was an absolute treat. Very friendly and helpful owners. Secluded and private.
Good location, but the bushes limit the nice view and the dirt road was problematic for a small vehicle (as we were informed by advertisement).
The freshly baked bread was outstanding and delicious. Unfortunately there was a problem with the battery for the power, but the host went out of his way with the help of a generator. The road is a challenge and is not suitable for small vehicles. Only vehicles with a high ground clearance. The view is very beautiful and a suitable house for 2 families to visit for longer than an evening. Good choice for a farm atmosphere, away from the city.
We were welcomed with home-made bread, the house is equipped with everything you may need. The bedding is clean and in a good condition and quality. The owners made our stay feel special with the extra touches. Will visit very soon again.
The off-the-grid sustained solar is something to get used to. Lights out at ten thirty is maybe not for everyone.
We were received very kindly and the owner even helped to unload our luggage! The icing on the cake was when the owner gave us a freshly baked, warm savory bread baked by his wife! The whole house is equipped with some of the best and the rooms are very spacious and beautiful. The garden is beautiful and the view is fantastic. Wish we could have stayed longer!
