The cottage comprises of 2 bedrooms sleeping 2 and 3 people respectively. It also features a bathroom which includes a bath and shower as well as a kitchen with stove and appliances. There is also a separate dining room and a large lounge leading to the main patio. Security is 100% with sliding security gates, burglar proofing and alarm. The driveway gate is operated by remote and there is room for 1 car inside the property. The owners are in a separate house in the grounds and are available at most times to assist with any queries.
Facilities include 42" flat screen TV, DVD and HiFi in the lounge. The property has high speed 100 MB fibre and supplies WiFi throughout the cottage.
Hout Bay's glorious beach is set between the towering Sentinel on the one side and the world famous Chapman's Peak drive on the other. From Mountain Rise the ocean is framed on both sides by mountains with a view to die for. The cottage has a full length patio to enjoy early morning breakfast or evening sundowners.

We, as a family, enjoyed the peaceful cottage. We needed a breakaway and Mountain Rise Cottage was that and more. The harmony, the peace, and the cleanliness was all we needed. Will definitely book in the future and for longer!
The only thing we missed was an iron. There was a board but no iron. Other than that we were more than happy with the place. Wi-Fi in the bedrooms were also very slow.
This was truly one of the best places we have stayed in. Our hosts were amazing from the minute we made the reservations. The cottage has everything one would need, is upmarket, clean and extremely comfortable. Ideal for that holiday getaway. We will most certainly be booking there on our next visit to the Cape. I can 110% recommend Mountain Rise Cottage.

Very still and could come and go as we wanted. Had full DStv which is a super plus with WiFi. Always available if you need anything, had full access to the pool.
Mountain Rise Cottage is large and comfortable and equipped with everything you need. Secure parking and great location for access to the Peninsula.

Nice place to stay. Tip for the owner: prune plants and trees so that the view is good.
We stayed at Mountain Rise for 5 nights. The main bedroom's bed is extra long and sleeps very well. The TV is a large plasma TV with SD DStv View and it was a bit disappointing as I was expecting quality picture. But there is a smaller TV with sharper picture in the bedroom which we used the most. The TV room's glass doors do not have curtains and are not private. Shower head could also be of a better quality for a stronger flow to be able to shower faster, but the rest has been excellent and value for money. Location is perfect and host is very nice and respects your privacy.
Mountain Rise is a spacious, clean and tidy fully equipped cottage with modern finishes. It is well situated and offers a nice view of Hout Bay. Safe hiking trails are nearby. Quiet, peaceful accommodation with easy access to all attractions in the area!
