Dieses Gästehaus is einfach spitze und muss sich nicht hiden behind 5 Star Hotels. The beds are super comfortable. Everything is tip top in Schuss. My 2 nights there count among the best in all of South Africa! Many thanks to Wilhelm and the ganzen Team of the Gästehauses! I come back very gladly!

Decided to take a little break from city activities for my birthday. Mentioned this to the owner, Wilhelm, and upon my arrival this most delicious chocolate cake and "sparkles" were waiting. It's these types of things that make a place special! The Cottage is incredibly equipped and very luxurious from the furniture to the equipment to the bedding. It's private and the site's dogs come to say "hello" every now and then! We went to the Berg Kwagga National Park for half of Saturday. It is worth the effort! I would recommend Mountain View to anyone who would ever ask me and I would without a doubt go back again.

Mountain View is way underrated for the cost per night. This wonderful guest farm has the best fixtures, the most beautiful decor, lovely spacious rooms and the amazing indoor heated pool. The best accommodation in the middle of the Karoo on a farm that's excellently managed. The host, Wilhelm, is simply everywhere, he rules with an iron fist, and is supported by Hannelie en Sue Ellen. Delicious food.

Mountain View is a truly great place to stay. Not only the facilities, but also the environment. It is a working farm and you see everything. Wilhelm and all the other persons there made you feel welcome from the start. Feel free to use the restaurant. The chef is great and you will enjoy eating there. L'établissement se trouve à proximité de mountain zebra un petit Park mais avec des paysages merveilleux et de nombreux animaux . A découvrir !

This is not cheap accommodation but it is value for money. Friendly reception, friendly staff, neat, well-appointed rooms and excellent meals. Will go again.

What a fantastic location in the heart of the Eastern Cape. The kids enjoyed themselves, we could braai, the dog was happy and for the rest, it really has the most beautiful interior decoration that I've ever seen in a home! Thanks for the fabulous sleepover, friendly chats and special touches (nice wine, the dog's biscuit and chocolate on the pillows). We'll definitely see again at the end of the year!

As an older visitor with a handicap, I was impressed by the safety measures provided. I have seldom encountered this at other venues I have visited through the years. The peaceful farm atmosphere and surroundings were totally to our satisfaction.
From the moment we got there, we were welcome. A friendly welcome by our host, Wilhelm, and a beautiful clean and comfortable room chased away the cold outside. There were fresh flowers in our room and luxurious quality bath products as well as delicious chocolates and also a chocolate on our pillow. Wilhelm himself came to make a fire for us and treated us to a delicious cheese plate with sherry, biltong and dried sausage. The breakfast was top notch and we left with the firm intention of staying there again. Truly a gem!

It was breathtakingly beautiful at Mountain View Country Guest House. I was a little hesitant because it was a little outside the town of Cradock, but it was so peaceful and absolutely worth it to be able to breathe in that super fresh, clean air. It's just what we needed, out of the hustle and bustle of city or town life. The facilities were not only 5 star, but far FAR above our expectations. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were privileged to be able to experience a nice trick on the Mega farmer's farm. I am very sorry we only stayed one night. I would recommend this great guest house to anyone anytime. Thank you very much Hannelie and all you people who made our visit so incredibly enjoyable. You just feel at home. You will definitely see us again. Note: There was not enough space in the guest book to write because there was just too much to say about.
I can recommend this guest house with absolute confidence. The friendliness and hospitality immediately made me feel at home. The room was beautiful and the farm is incredibly beautiful. I will definitely go back again!
We were warmly welcomed, even though we were a little late. The rooms were in excellent condition. The guest house is modern with some farm elements. It has a neat kitchen with an indoor braai as well as a very nice outdoor braai. Every morning the braai area and kitchen are cleaned before you receive breakfast. The breakfast is very tasty and fresh (fruit cup with a full English breakfast or omelette). However, the breakfast is not included and one has to pay an extra R90, which makes the stay a bit expensive. We were there for a ram auction and our host was very considerate and offered to let our rams spend the night in his pen. He also provided the rams with pills and water for the evening. We really appreciated this gesture. We brought an extra guest for the 2nd night which cost us R600 plus R90 breakfast, which I feel is a bit expensive. But apart from that I would advise anyone to spend the night there especially if you are attending ram auctions in the area. I would also recommend spending the night here on the farm rather than in the town itself. Absolutely great service!
This farm is managed by a farmer. The facilities are neat and the service personal and extremely friendly. If we come to these regions again, we will be happy to spend the night there again.
