29 guests' feedbackOur stay at Mountain View Safari Lodge was breathtaking, absolutely perfect. The place is clean, peaceful, private and beautiful. The bed was our favourite, very comfortable. The shower was perfect under the sky. The outside pool is perfect for a couple. Hot water does not run out. The tent was warm as we arrived on a windy day. We received the best hospitality from Fanie. He reached out to us before we even arrived. He constantly kept checking in throughout our travel to the lodge, during our stay and even after we left. I have never experienced such from any host. To top it all, he went the extra mile as we were celebrating my partner's birthday and he created a mini romantic setup for us, which was so thoughtful. If you are looking for time away, just you and nature, I highly recommend Mountain View Safari Lodge.
We loved our stay here. We visited as a family with our 2-year-old. We came in the middle of winter. Although the days were lovely and warm, the nights were cold as there's no heating in the tents. They do provide lots of blankets though. We could get really close to nature, and the hosts were always available for any questions I had. Maybe the hosts should consider getting a small heater for the tent in the future, my own suggestion. It's so quaint and beautiful.
A beautiful well equipped tent greeted us. A sense of style and luxury with boma, jacuzzi and bushveld trees in the background was experienced. We even came across wildlife on our walk in the reserve.

It was an unforgettable stay, some family time away from technology. The bushveld is good for the soul. Our teenagers loved the splash pool.

Private and quiet with no one to bother you! If you want to use the picnic spots in Ndlovumzi, just take a 4x4.
Quite an intimate place, security quite friendly and helpful. Manager very responsive. A big plus is an open bushveld spa in the lodge after a hectic day of activities in and around Hoedspruit. There's a barman who makes killer cocktails.
Quiet and relaxed, beds are good, seating outside and by fire is nice, nice outside fire, nice weather.
The stay was so nice, peaceful and beautiful. The staff was always available when we needed help; we could contact them at any time.
It was really good value for money. Would just prefer an air conditioner as well.
For nature lovers this is the place to be. We were greeted by giraffes, blue wildebeest and goats on our arrival and were immediately charmed. I went jogging on the reserve's main road - 10km of beauty and wildlife. The accommodation is 10/10, shower under the stars and sit and listen to the night sounds in the evening. Stay here - you know you want to.
We are very grateful to Fanie who was so helpful. The workers at the gate are too friendly. Fanie was always available if we had any questions. It's quiet there. You only hear the animal life and that's what we wanted for the weekend. Be ready to have the minster human like interaction for your trip. We just needed it. The animals walk around the tents. We went for a walk and came across quite a few giraffes and ibex. 10 out of 10 Experience. The shower is amazing. The unit is amazing.
Place is neat and clean. Fanie looked at us carefully. However, we do feel that certain things lack attention, barbecue tools are old, cleaning items such as sponges and wiping cloths, drying cloths were also old. Cutlery also needs attention, otherwise we had a wonderful stay.
Rest for the soul and plenty of wildlife to see.
Mountain View is a nice place in the woods, we could rest well. The round, small pool was perfect for cooling off. Hoedspruit had been damn hot! The drive between Hoedspruit and Mountain View was just too far for me.

The accommodation is cleverly thought out with all the amenities perfectly set up. Beautiful view from the pool and made self catering very easy. We were warmly welcomed and look forward to going back many times.

The tent is very luxurious and had everything we needed, the private pool was great to cool off in on the hot days. It took us a good while to get to our sleeping place from the tarmac, but the drive was worth it.
