Reception by David and Moira was very friendly and accommodating. They even prepared the outdoor hot tub for us to unwind and relax after our journey. The cottage was very comfortable, cosy and clean with a terrific view. We will return in the future.

Spacious, tidy and very well equipped accommodation. Friendly reception and many extra treats, such as the most delicious coffee and biscuits. Would definitely recommend and would stay there again.
This place is where you can switch off after a long week of toil and sweat. The view is breathtaking and it is wonderful to be woken up by the Piet-My-Vrou every morning.
We enjoyed our stay at Mountainview and loved walking through the indigenous/succulent garden. It is walking distance to coffee shops and we spent time exploring on foot. A pity there was a problem with the WiFi, which was very intermittent.
We have enjoyed our second stay at Mountain View as much as the first. Spotlessly clean, 10/10 maintenance and all the little touches thought about to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We saw a plethora of sunbirds in the garden, helped along by the sugar water and seeds provided in the garden.

We only stayed one night for a wedding, but would definitely like to return for longer. It's a piece of oasis in the heart of Swellendam. Green and peaceful. The rooms are beautifully decorated. And the service was friendly.
