Mpumulelo on Kosi offers unrivalled access to this naturally beautiful area, consisting of 2 self-catering chalets that can accommodate up to 4 people in each. Each chalet comprises an open-plan living and is furnished with 1 double bed and 2 single beds, and each unit has a private bathroom. Each unit features a kitchenette area on a raised platform overlooking the indigenous forest, which contains basic appliances such as a fridge, a gas stove, a kettle, and a selection of crockery and utensils.
What better way to prepare a meal than with the sound of some of the approximately 250 bird species in the area, or relax on the cool deck and capture them on camera to your heart's content.
For those whose idea of paradise is fishing, a permit will give you access to surf and rock angling, where you'll delight in the Kingfish, Rock Cod, Red Snapper, sharks and rays, or in one of the gorgeous lakes where you'll find Grunter, Stumpnose, Mullet, Kingfish, Rock salmon and Yellowfin Bream. You're welcome to bring your own category R or C boat for the inland lake and sea. The resident boating expert will also happily organise trips on the lake for a small fee, where you can set up for an unforgettable picnic lunch on the shore. Hiking trails are in abundance in this unblemished part of the world, as are snorkelling and turtle tours. In fact, there's so much to do at Kosi Bay that you'll be ready for a sound night's sleep after evenings spent on the deck in the company of the night's sounds.

6 guests' feedbackHad a wonderful time. Greg and Tracy are wonderful owners, they went the extra mile for us - even a wonderful boat ride on the lake! We had to learn a lot going to the beach as we had to obtain permits and got lost looking for Black Rock as we did not have a 4x4 only a 2x4. Most definitely need a 4x4 to get around in Kosi Bay. But the beaches are awesome, actually breathtaking. Thank you for a wonderful holiday!
Thank you for your hospitality. Your place is nicely decorated. We enjoyed it so much. 10 days was not enough. Enjoyed snorkelling, swimming, driving dunes, boating, grilling and fishing.
Beautiful peaceful place. Friendliest people. We were received and treated like family. Children enjoyed it a lot. Thank you Greg and Tracy for your hospitality. You guys are tops can definitely recommend Mpumelelo.
Was very relaxing place, hosts were friendly and checked up on our progress in getting to the lodge which was good. Welcomed us and let us do our own thing. Very comfortable.
Lots of hospitality.
Nice braai area, shade trees. New and neat chalet.
