There was only 1 fan for 2 rooms and the unit had a strange smell. The kitchen was not as clean as you are expected to leave it. Your vehicle is parked outside on the grass where the sprinklers wet it the next morning.

My wife and I being an elderly couple were very comfortable and relaxed in the flat. However next time do consider the elderly for a ground floor flat as the stairs can be tiring. Also the vacating time of 9. 00am should rather be changed 10. 00am as one really has to rush the morning to vacate the premises. Otherwise thanks for a lovely stay. Alida is very sweet and kind.

Everything one needs was in unit. My first impression is when there is a clean shower and the linen and beds are tidy. Nice atmosphere. The outdoor barbecue and private area in front of unit is also a plus. It is in a nice quiet area and walking distance from the sea. Will definitely recommend the accommodation to family and friends.

It's great that my canine friend is always welcome there. All that bothers me is that SA has had 12 years of load shedding and guest places in Stilbaai, although they are some of the most expensive in the country, have no solar. I would think it's a good investment to offer something like that to guests, even partial solar would be great. The hostess at Muir is always extremely friendly and helpful. She helps with absolutely everything you ask.

We were pleasantly surprised with the entire history of Muir Apartments which was told to us by the owner himself. Also, the staff is very helpful and friendly and no effort is spared to help. Suitable as an overnight facility, but not for holiday purposes. Television on top of the fridge. No fans. Cramped space, even for only 2 persons.
The housing unit that was originally allocated to us was not in good condition. It was seriously infested with cockroaches and the toilet was broken. However, the managers moved us to another housing unit which was in much better condition.
Do think air conditioning will be needed if it gets much hotter. Thank you.

We were informed ahead of time by email about keys and other essential information. Lovely clean and well maintained facilities. We suggest that the information sent to customers ahead of time should be updated, e.g. times that Spar and OK Foods are open. Arrived just after 2pm on Sunday and couldn't buy food anywhere.

The apartments have all the amenities and are located near the sea.
Small space, but perfect for a short visit, for a short period only. However, no place or facilities to prepare work there such as a desk. Otherwise very neat and everything that is needed.

Checking out at 9h00 is too early and having to wash the dishes yourself before check-out, if check-out is 9h00, is extremely inconvenient for a holidaymaker.
Unfortunately, one large group of people booked most of the apartments as one group. So they moved back and forth and made noise until 2:00 in the morning. I had to go out and ask them nicely to shut up. Of course they didn't like it. I WhatsApped the emergency contact number with no response. It wasn't until the next morning after I sent another WhatsApp that I got a reply back. Definitely never again after that. The walls are so thin between the apartments that you can follow the people's full conversation. Bitterly bad experience after a good week's holiday in the Garden Route and our last stop in Stilbaai becomes a nightmare with drunk people and safety of my family after I had to silence them. The owner of Muir or manager could answer their phone if there was an emergency! Better expected but it's done now. Stay away!

My wife and I had our honeymoon at Muir apartments 33 years ago and hadn't been to Stilbaai in such a long time. We really enjoyed our stay and the whole set-up of the apartment suited us like having a barbecue every night and being able to enjoy the barbecue outside. The apartment was very neat and clean and we will definitely use Muir apartments again in the future.

We had a wonderful holiday in Muir Holiday Apartments and Stilbaai and will definitely come again. Very good service from the staff. Initially, our family of 4 was in one of the smaller units (nr 1 to 7) - for a week's seaside holiday the rooms were too tight for us (for overnight stays it would be perfect). Luckily we were able to move to one of the larger units (no 8 and 9) and it was absolutely perfect. Many thanks for the staff's help and friendly attitude.
