17 guests' feedbackIt was a lovely break and stopover between Gauteng and the Garden Route.
Will definitely stay there again.
It was the perfect overnight stop on the way to the sea. Mulberry Grove is located in a beautiful area and the farm itself brings back a lot of nostalgia.
We got there at 21:30 during load shedding but could easily cope with everything.
I detected slight neglect in and around the cottage, such as the braai area, blinds, bathrooms, doors and windows.
We had a great time on the farm. The house was comfortable and the braai place nicely sheltered. The farm dogs were a great pleasure, wanted to take them home. We will definitely visit there again.
The beautiful old farmhouse was clean and tidy with all the necessary facilities. We had a nice barbecue with thorn wood and hung out until late. Our hostess, Elize, called a few times to make sure we were on the right track. She also went out of her way to ensure we had everything we would need.
Very friendly people, nice place for walking and cycling.
This cottage was the perfect stop over after a long day's drive. The farm gave the children space to run and get rid of energy and the house had everything we needed. Comfortable beds and very quiet at night. Lovely place!
The farm is close to the main road and the dirt road is in good condition. The location is perfect for travelers from Gauteng on their way to the Eastern Cape coastal towns.
We had a lovely stay at Mulberry Grove.
The house has so much history and renovated so modernly. The only thing I did not like is the flies. Inside the house you are protected because there are shields on the doors, but if you want to braai outside it becomes overwhelming. The resident dogs are gorgeous, and overall we enjoyed our stay.
What a nice cremation after the long road. We had a wonderful rest and will definitely make it our next stop on the way to the Cape.
Lovely stay en route to Port Alfred.
Nice relaxing place.
It was great to be able to stay in such a lovely place the moment Covid allowed us to travel in our own province. If you fancy a break and stay on a beautiful farm, this is just the place. Thank you very much, Elize, for your hospitality, you will see us again.
Mulberry Grove Farm stay was a complete delight. The cottage was clean and comfortable, with lovely hot water, good beds, comfortable seating areas, and a well-equipped kitchen. The farm setting is wonderful, with the smells and sounds of the farm animals. Elize and her young welcoming committee are excellent hosts who care that every little detail is in order. Do not miss this opportunity to unwind and re-charge at Mulberry Grove Farm.
