Please note that there is a 6 km gravel road leading to the farm after turning off the N1. Vehicles with high-ground clearance or SUVs are recommended to reach the camp, but normal sedan cars or minibuses that aren't too low shouldn't have a problem getting to the camp. Even though 4x4s aren't necessary to reach the camp or traverse the farm, there are places like sandy ditches or steep hills on the farm that would be better explored with an SUV or 4x4.
The camp comprises 3 air-conditioned rondavels with 2 single beds in each and a room with 6 single beds and air-conditioning that can thus be booked as a unit and can accommodate 12 people. The camp is booked as a unit but tariffs depend on the number of guests and booked evenings. There are 2 bathrooms, 1 of which has a shower, toilet and basin and the second with a bath, toilet and basin. There is also an outdoor shower with a basin. Linen is supplied but guests are required to bring their own bath towels. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, 2 fridges, a 210 L chest freezer, kettle, pots, pans, cutlery and crockery. The braai area has built-in seating around the fire pit and a thatched roof next to it. Guests can bring their own camping chairs. Wood is for sale or guests can bring their own.
There is no TV or Wi-Fi and cell phone signal is limited at the camp.
The farm dam also serves as a swimming dam and is located about 50 m from the camp. It has a rock deck and built-in seating.
Walking and cycling are also possible on a variety of farm roads. There are beautiful views from various hills and cliffs of the area. A large variety of fauna and flora are characteristic of this area including beautiful Baobab trees and interesting rock formations. Leopards and other smaller predators are common in the area as well as wild dogs that are sighted from time to time. Furthermore, there is a great variety of plain game from the timid and rare Sharpe's Grysbok to kudu, eland, njalas and klipspringer. See rock formations, including the world-famous San Rivier gneiss that lies exposed in the river.
Mushashani is the Venda word that loosely translates to the word for a temporary shelter for hunters while hunting. The Musina village also has a very nice and unique golf course. Mapungubwe and Tshipise can easily be visited on a day trip.

3 guests' feedbackAfter one night we packed and left. Kitchen is poorly equipped. No decent sharp meat knife. No gas stove or kettle to use on the fire. The pond pool is full of green slime. The bathtub is stained. More bugs in the evening on your plate than food. A blue light with a zapper will work. The bed is hard and a good night's rest is impossible.
Very quiet and peaceful, clean and the farm is beautiful.
Everything we wanted was fulfilled.

Please note that there is a gravel road from the N1 to the camp. While an LDV or SUV is recommended, regular sedans with good clearance can also reach the camp. A 4x4 may be needed in certain areas, like sandy or steep slopes, but most routes can be explored with a standard bakkie or SUV and still reach scenic spots.Tour and walk on the farm at your own risk.
The camp is booked as a whole and discounts will be considered for larger groups and longer stays.
Please note there is no TV.
There is cellphone signal at the camp but it can be weak. There are however other areas on the farm where signal is strong.
As it could get cold in the braai area, guests are required to bring their own blankets and cushions as the blankets and pillows from the accommodation are not allowed to be taken out of the rooms. For more comfortable seating, guests are required to bring along their own camping chairs for next to the fire or in the bush.
Please note that coffee, tea, milk and sugar is not supplied and guests are required to bring their own.
Firewood is for sale at a fair price per batch or guests can bring their own. Price available on request. Guests are not allowed to gather their own wood on the farm.
There is a person who comes in daily to wash dishes, empty trash cans and clean the fireplace.
