28 guests' feedbackIt was wonderful. Everything and more you would expect from a farm stay. Stayed in Mae West, which was luxurious and had lovely views. We made use of the dinner service being offered and had exceptional food with our very friendly hosts every evening. All the staff on the farm were very friendly, with nothing being too much effort for them.

Lovely place with very friendly staff. They allowed us to bring our mini dachshund, but we had to keep her indoors. Great massage per prior arrangement in nature, worth planning when staying there. Breakfast was very nice and included in the price. They offer dinner in the restaurant but also provide self-catering options.
We were welcomed to our cottage. Nice and warm. Had a very nice wine tasting. The kids braved the pool and had fun. They gave us wood and we could braai and enjoyed it. Breakfast was special. Many thanks to the staff for making our stay special.
The accommodation and surroundings were great. Just a pity the TV is not very user friendly.

The place is run down and shabby, meals prohibitively expensive. No advice on loadshedding, no candles or lamps provided.
We had a wonderful winter stay in the cottage that was fully equipped. There was even air conditioning available for us to use if we so desired. The friendly staff served us a hearty breakfast every morning and we also had a tasty three-course dinner in the dining area. It was lovely to meet Andy, Charlene and Penny who were extremely helpful and friendly. We will definitely visit again during the summer months to take another walk in the vineyards to see the grapes.

Traveling with a dachshund has its challenges. Willie the dachshund ran delightfully between the vines and splashed along. Only concern was the other large dogs, but that is to be expected from visiting a farm. The self-catering was well equipped and we had a very nice stay. Very sorry I missed out on the restaurant and spa treatments.
House could do with some upgrades but is clean and tidy.
There are some small things that are lacking with accommodation with 4 star rating such as: hand soap, toilet freshener. There is a capsule coffee machine (Nespresso) but no capsules or milk to make coffee with.
We were warmly received by the owner and they immediately made us feel very welcome. Our cottage had everything we needed to brave the cold and we had a very nice stay.
The food was excellent and it was great to meet the other guests.

I stayed in one of their very private cabins with a very refreshing plunge pool. The food was delicious, prepared by a very skilful staff under the guidance of the host, Penny, who is a professional cook. One meets the most interesting people at dinner entertained by the very funny and entertaining host Andy Hillock, who manages his large vineyards. The vineyards are a paradise to stroll through.
This guest house is a surprising little gem! We were tired from driving and very hot during our visit, and then we stepped into the cool air conditioning of the chalet. The chalet has everything you need for self-catering accommodation, is tastefully furnished, and also provides for the soap or shampoo you may have forgotten. It's located on a farm outside Ladismith which makes it quiet and peaceful, so you just have to buy all your supplies before you check in because it's a little outside the town. We will recommend the place and go there again ourselves.
Situated in a picturesque area with a lovely view of the vegetation and mountain. Very private. Friendly owners. One can hike up the hill with the owner to enjoy a breathtaking view. The unit has some extra detail with decor and was really special. Breakfast was delicious, freshly prepared according to your order.
Andy and Penny Hillock are outstanding host and wife. The most beautiful world. Food excellent. Good wine. Service very well and sleeping place tops. I will go again. Just recommended Musing to a friend this morning.
I recommend Mymering Gastehuis. It is a very special place. Warm reception, first-rate accommodation, comfortable atmosphere, spiritually fulfilling and stunning area. Had a bit of a misunderstanding with the meals - we're vegans, makes it a bit difficult, but my email wasn't interpreted correctly and I couldn't get dinner after a long day on the road.
We were only here for 1 night on a transit but didn't want to leave. Next time we will absolutely stay longer

We arrived on a bitterly cold afternoon, staff welcomed us with open arms and our one night stay was very memorable. We stayed in the Mae West suite - the view from our bedroom was quite spectacular. The food was incredible - dinner and breakfast - extremely well presented and the staff very attentive. We had to buy a box of the Mymering wine as a reminder of our highly enjoyable stay on the Farm. Our thank to Penny, Andy and Leonardo. We'll be back.
