The cottage is well equipped to provide long-term self-catering accommodation. It sleeps 6 to 8 guests and has 3 bedrooms, 1 loft room, 2 bathrooms and an open-plan kitchen, dining and living area. The upper floor has 2 bedrooms as well as a loft room. Room 1 has a double bed. Room 2 has 2 single beds, and the loft room has a double bed. The upstairs bathroom has a bath, basin, and toilet.
Downstairs, you will find the third bedroom, which contains a double bed. Guests staying in this room makes use of a bathroom fitted with a shower, washbasin, toilet and a bath. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a gas- and electric stove, microwave, fridge, and scullery. There is also a 8-seater dining table. The sunny, double-volume lounge has an open fireplace, comfortable couches and a TV that offers the full DStv bouquet. The open fireplace warms the whole house on those chilly winter days and there are electric blankets on all the beds. Extra blankets and towels are also provided. There is no loadshedding in Clarens.
Enjoy the view and a braai and sundowners from the verandah. The property is fully fenced and secured with a gate and there is undercover parking next to the house.
A daily cleaning service can be arranged with the owner at extra cost.

Very nice stay. The view is fantastic. You can just sit on the porch for a whole week. It's a fantastic place. Absolutely everything you need is there. First accommodation I book where there is even a hairdryer. I recommend it 100% and more. Will definitely go back again and again. The owner and receptionist are super friendly and helpful. Kitchen provided with everything, tablecloths, enough pots, pans, 2 stoves and everything in working order, bowls to enough light and candles for loadshedding. Rooms linen and warm blankets were very good. Towels were beautifully clean and good quality. Absolutely everything is provided from books and games for children. The place is highly recommended. We had a wonderful stay.
The cottage is very well located with excellent views. It is clean and tidy, and the fireplace is great in the winter. We were there for the Clarens Beer Festival and we will definitely stay here again.

We had a great stay at Mystic Mountain. The house was spotless, with 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. It is walking distance to all the restaurants, art gallery and other shops in town. There is also a wood burning stove and enough heaters to tame any chill. There is also a beautiful view from the porch over the mountains and valley.
Place is very well equipped. Everything is there. Very very nice clean and tidy. Had a great stay.

The braai facilities can definitely be expanded so that there can be a more permanent braai with good lighting. The rest of the cottage was perfectly adequate for our use.
We were really surprised with the place and had an incredibly nice time on the stoep. The place is perfect for a family of 6 and everything was so nice clean and tidy. We will definitely visit there again.
The host Keith organized everything, the caretaker Fran was a wonderful person. The location is walking distance 2 blocks from the square. Will go again.
Staying in the wonderful wooden house with modern fittings gave us the peace and nature view we were longing for. Even more so because our little dogs were with us and could have a great time. The location is ideal and set up for families with children. The highlight is the hot air balloon that is set up very close to the accommodation and you can watch it take off at sunrise. Wonderful. Our new home away from home for future visits.

We like the peace and to still be close to the nice shops and eateries. You can walk to where you want to go and it has the most beautiful view.

Regarding safety ─ we are used to lock and bolt and alarms in Gauteng, that's not a negative comment, but one will have to get used to the fact that lock and bolt and alarms are not necessary in Clarens. The house is fenced. At no point did we feel unsafe.

Mystic Mountain Cottage has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The view from the patio is breathtaking. Free Wi-Fi helped keeping the teenagers busy. Well equipped, clean and neat. Would definitely recommend it.
We absolutely loved our stay at Mystic Mountain Cottage. We had the place to ourselves and didn’t need to see anyone the whole time we were there. The house is well appointed and has everything one needs for a short or a long stay there. My daughter loved feeding the birds, and we were very happy to be able to walk into town, as well as gaze out upon the beautiful mountains in the morning. It was a peaceful and restful stay and we will definitely come back again one day. I am so grateful that I was allowed to take the book I had started, home with me, thank you Keith!
Neat, practical accommodation with the most beautiful view!
Mystic mountain is fantastic. It is very clean and comfortable. Such a charming little place with plenty of amenities. The views are to die for! It is within easy walking distance to the main square in town. We took our dogs with us and it was perfect for them. They had the garden to play in. I wouldn't recommend it for small breed dogs as the palissade at the back has big gaps in between them, but for medium to large breed it's perfectly fine. Book with Mystic mountain, you won't regret it!

We recently stayed at Mystic Mountain and was pleasantly surprised by how well equipped this cosy home was. The location and views are awesome. Our dogs absolutely loved being on holiday in this dog friendly, fenced-off home. Appreciated the wild bird seed provided. Full DSTV channels and flatscreen TV!

Mystic Mountain Cottage, het ‘n baie spesiale plekkie in ons harte, dis waar ons wil en moet bly as ons Clarens toe gaan. Buite is pragtig, die houtstoep waar mens kan ontspan en na die berge kyk vir ure en die voëltjies voer in die pragtige tuin, die oulike kleurvolle kombuis met alles wat jy nodig het, die kagel in die sitkamer, die boekkeuses uit die oulike boekrak en dan natuurlik daai lekker groot diep bad. Alles is pragtig, netjies en skoon. Regtig, home away from home, en ons eerste keuse in Clarens.
We would recommend Mystic Mountain Cottage to anyone, not only is the house beautiful inside and out but the view is breathtaking. It is perfectly located, nice and close to the town, but not too close that it is noisy. We really enjoyed the place and the service was great!

Lovely cottage. It feels as if you're hidden away in the mountains, while, in reality, you're one block away of the main plaza. We left the car in the garage and explored the town on foot. Everything was so simple and the cottage has such a convenient location.

Great stay here! A large wooden house with absolutely everything one needs! Beautiful view of the mountains! The 2 bathrooms are definitely a plus for a lot of people. Only problem: There wasn't a toaster grill (or not that we saw). But the rest of the stay was wonderful! Will definitely go there again.

The accommodation is very well equipped, decorated and located. At a walking distance of Clarens' downtown and all the restaurants, attractions. Also very nice/interesting hiking paths that we discovered in the host's documentation. We also appreciated the games and books in the chalet and the great view on the mountains from the terrace.

I'm convinced the house is a reflection on who and what they are in person. Everything is well organized and clean and tidy. Would love to stay there again, just for longer.
