Cute little place, just cold in the winter, but very well equipped. Stay at Paternoster's service was very good and they went out of their way to help with small things that the owner did not want to help with.

Mythos is close to the sea and is also well laid out with three rooms and large sitting/kitchen with a separate scullery. A nice stoep with a built-in braai completes the picture. Slept very well and made food. Definitely worth it.
Great stay in a beautiful house. The garage was a great peace of mind.
It is a nice place to visit. Lovely porch with braai. Nice and big living area. Will book there again. Just remember to check that towels and fleece blankets are clean. Despite that, it was otherwise quite nice.
Mythos is walking distance from all the places to eat and the beach. Beautiful view from the front door.

What a beautiful house! Attention to detail and to make one's stay comfortable. Kitchen is beautifully furnished and there is an indoor and outdoor barbecue. Would only suggest a dishwasher for optimal convenience. The house does not have a view but it is around the corner from the sea and ideal for a relaxing weekend getaway.
We have stayed several times at Mythos and have had very comfortable stays. Its location is very good, not seafront but literally a 1 minute walk away from the beach. There are 2 downsides to this property - there is no outdoor seating area - there is an under cover braai area with a table and chairs though, as well as there is no Wi-Fi. Hopefully the owners will look at installing it soon.
The house is very nice and we really enjoyed the braai room as well as the central location. Many of the cups in the cupboard were dirty (not properly washed). A dirty tongs were found in the drawer and there were no basic necessities such as sugar, a few coffee sachets or salt. Usually at the other places we stay, it always comes together so the stay didn't feel rounded and welcoming.

The pictures on mythos page does not do it any justice. It's even more beautiful and relaxing than shown in the pictures.
The place is dark, no outside view and you feel locked up in this place. The property is tacky and we washed the dishes on arrival. The bedding and pillows are old and not fresh. Owner is not accommodating as we asked rental agents to terminate early and move elsewhere to get out of this place to better accommodation in Paternoster. We lost 3 days of money and anyhow moved to better accommodation in Paternoster! No WIFI either! Accordingly my recommendation is to look elsewhere and not touch this place!
What can i say. Were there in January. Back for another week in February. And i guess we will be going back very soon again because we forgot our spare car key at Mythos. Gretchen at #Stayin paternoster was kind enough (as always) to let us know she has it at the office and will be safekeeping it until our return to our happy place! Grateful and a huge thank you to housekeeping for handing in our key at the office. In a nutshell wonderful, safe place, awesome town and friendly locals!
WiFi would be a very good option.
Two improvements are suggested: install an outdoor shower, or at least a faucet to wash off sea sand and provide WiFi.
It would be very nice if there is a dishwasher in the house.
We really enjoyed the visit.
We had a lovely weekend. Mythos' facilities were perfect. We lacked nothing. Mythos is a stone's throw from the sea, and close to everything. The house was very neat and clean and we really couldn't have asked for better. We had a great time and will be back again.
However, the house was dirty, the DStv only worked 2 of the 3 days. Would not rent or recommend the house again. Definitely not worth the money. The only view of the sea is through a small window in the main bedroom.
Incredibly nice stay. Every moment was lovely and so relaxing - we became so peaceful in the week we stayed.

My husband and I have spent the last 2 Wedding Anniversaries in Paternoster. Beautiful gem hidden away. Peaceful and quiet, a place where you can reconnect with your spouse. Mythos is a beautiful, spacious house which has everything you need for a weekend away.
Will go back anytime to relax with my family.
I was not very happy and will not book with Mythos again.

Key- and breakage deposit:
Key- and breakage deposit is payable with the deposit for the booking and refundable by bank transfer within 5 - 7 working days after departure, once the house has been scrutinised and all found in order. Please note that the key deposit will be retained and additional charges imposed if more guests than booked are found to be utilising the premises. Please furnish us with your banking details on arrival. Keys will not be handed over under any circumstances unless the key and breakage deposit has been received.
Minimum stay required:
2 nights in low and mid-season
3 nights over long weekends
4 nights over Easter weekend
7 nights in high season
