17 guests' feedbackOn arrival they don't know about me. Very unfriendly. Only 1 sheet on bed with dirty spots, cups and glasses full of dust. Shower door is broken. Bedside lights don't work. Noise in roof. Towels old and washed. Will definitely not stay there again!
JW was very helpful and tried really hard to please even moving us due to rubbish being burnt behind the units. We appreciated them accommodating our 2 Jack Russells. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable. Negative is that we had booked/expected self-catering for dinner but no facilities in the room eg. cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, table and chairs. All that was provided was a microwave, kettle, water glasses and 2 coffee mugs. Luckily we brought a picnic set, so had utensils and plates but we had to wash them in the hand basin. JW did provide a braai and patio furniture to eat our dinner on the patio, as the room was too small. It is too close to the busy N6 so it was very noisy.
There are no amenities on the property, not even a comfortable lounger to sit on; just a hard bench. There was also no fridge in the room! I know that the area was experiencing severe drought and so I will not comment on the lack of a garden. But other than a reasonably comfortable room, there is nothing else to offer. We booked for two nights, but only stayed for one night.
Very friendly reception, very clean and tidy room and the air conditioning was definitely a plus.
Lovely rest stop along the N6 from East London. Warm, friendly welcome from the lady who runs the place. Feel safe behind sliding gate. Nice breakfast, which costs extra, but is worth the money.
The fact that the rooms have air conditioning was decisive when the reservation was made. We were very disappointed when one of the rooms' air conditioning did not work at all. Fortunately, we were able to be moved to a room whose air conditioning did work. The one room also did not have a kettle. A small bar fridge in each room would be very welcome. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the breakfast delicious.
The place is neat and clean but the indication of the broken cold rooms on the road is depressing.
Would recommend anyone to stay here. Warm bed and quiet environment. Nice breakfast. Really a pleasant experience!

I really got more than I bargained for. The hospitality with which one is treated is above average and the room was fantastic. Even the freezing cold night we experienced could not overpower the warmth of the room!
The facilities were above expectations and pleasant, clean, tidy and professional. One feels safe and secure at the institution.
They could not provide breakfast. It was a good experience and we would stay there again.
N6 Lodge can be confidently recommended. There is really nothing negative that can be said about the place and the management/staff. The managers went out of their way to make everyone feel welcome. Will definitely spend the night there again if the opportunity arises.
Don't let first impressions put you off - drive up close and you'll be surprised. The rooms are large and comfortable - clean, tasteful and tidy.
We will definitely spend the night here on our way to the Transkei every time. Everything is brand new and clean. It's also nice and quiet to get a good night's rest.
