45 guests' feedbackNagenoeg is a lovely spacious home which had everything we needed. While most of the furnishings go back a long way, they are comfortable and clean. The brand new bathroom with shower was much appreciated.
Great thanks, just need a new kettle!
It was exceptionally pleasant!
Nagenoeg is centrally located and offers a lovely, peaceful atmosphere to truly relax in one of South Africa's jewel towns. The house offers an antique feel and the garden is a loop court which further adds to the peaceful feeling created.
Neat, spacious house. Nice peaceful garden. Lovely Karoo calm. Delicious!
Comfortable house, central and close to everything. Neat, spacious house. Nice peaceful garden. Within walking distance of restaurants.
The place is breathtaking. Very neat and tidy. Well located in the beautiful little village. I love the blend of modern and vintage. Only 3 problems of note: plugs and lights in 2 rooms did not work, but found an extension cord as a way around this. Although pet friendly, the little Pomeranians got out, so would recommend closing off the open spots in the fence. Thirdly, as much as it was safe, we had an encounter with a person walking up to our room in the early hours of the morning, peeking into our car, which gave us a bit of a fright. However, the police were tailing him and he ran off into the darkness. Just a suggestion that a space can be made in the yard for a car. Other than that, a wonderful experience. Our host was lovely, even putting wood for a fire to keep us warm. Thank you so much for all your efforts. The experience was really wonderful and we would come again.
Lovely old house with lots of character. Walking distance from everything in town.
Very cold with no heaters. Only supplied wood for one night with hardly any matches. Hardly any washing up liquid. Chipped coffee mugs. Beds were comfortable.
Almost the most beautiful, lovely old house, which is incredibly cool when you step in from the sweltering heat of the Karoo. The decor is beautiful, and our family slept very well on the nice beds. Coming from Gauteng, we were very worried that there was no locked parking for our Fortuner and pram, but our vehicle was safe among everyone else's vehicles that were also sleeping in front of the front doors. Nieu Bethedsa offers good food, precious little shops, and Nagenoeg is part of the heritage of the rich history of the village. Precious to see animals (horses, goats, sheep) walk by the window just like that on the dirt road. Hard to believe you live in the present, because Nagenoeg takes you back to a time when everything was just so simple. Thank you very much! Your service was great, we so appreciated the Whatsapp video tour of the house, and information about everything to do in town. We will definitely stay there again. Was a wonderful experience.
The house was clean and beautifully furnished - comfortable beds and nice and tidy bedding!
The house was clean, tidy and very spacious. It is very centrally located and everything is within walking distance of the house.
Nice big house with plenty of room for a large family or more than one family. Private, large and interesting garden area. Walking distance to all attractions.
We had a great time in Nagenoeg. The house is in the middle of town opposite the Waenhuis restaurant and just down the street from the Uil house. The house is exactly as you remember your grandmother's house - wooden floors, spacious cool rooms, large dark living room, real novilon kitchen floor, pantry, copper frame beds, wire chairs in the garden. The two single bed mattresses are only slightly worn.
Large house in the middle of town, so you can walk everywhere. Nicely decorated in a 60's theme. Would have been nice to have a gas plate, or the geyser heated before we arrived, as we had no power for our entire stay. So could not cook, shower, or even make a cup of tea or coffee.
Everything neat and clean. We enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. Almost is a cute little house, with a certain charm to it. Everything was clean and tidy. We had a great stay!
The shower was a bummer, as the website says there is only a bath.
It was clean, adequate, spacious with good service, good value for money and the service was attentive and efficient. The room itself was well equipped and comfortable. We were very happy with my stay, which is basically in the middle of town with everything to do in walking distance.
Despite flood damage and load shedding, we had a great time. Was worth the detour.
See stars.
The house is well located. The children could walk around to some of the places themselves. The house has everything one needs. We really enjoyed our 1 night.
A quiet town with people with the biggest hearts. Remember cash is king and there are no gas stations or luxury shops, just bring mosquito nets and extra treats, and please stay. more than one day, there is too much to do.
We really liked the old house and the street life in front of the house.
Nagenoeg is quaint and interesting, but the house needs a lot of attention and can do with a thorough clean.
Really neat and comfortable. Located walking distance from everything.
Very well located. Walking distance to everything.
Many thanks to Barbara, it was lovely to visit New Bethesda. It is so central and walking distance to everything. I would definitely recommend it.
Lovely homely house. We will come again.
It's a beautiful house and very good value for our money! Barbara is an excellent hostess.
Everything needed for accommodation for a holiday in the countryside. The house and outdoor facilities have everything you need for a nice visit. The rooms, bathroom, bedding, cutlery, everything is more than adequate and very neat and clean. Highly recommended.
We spent the night on our way to our final destination and explored the village.
It's a nice, big house with everything you need for an overnight stay. Beautiful village.
Nice old house but did not get the same feeling of hospitality as at our other places to sleep.
We had a great stay, thank you. House location is great!
It's great for a family
There was more than enough space and everything for self-catering. Remember to switch on the electricity or you won't have hot water.
Money well spent in the town and accommodation.
Good and friendly service, cute little place (with character), very tidy, well furnished and nicely central. Will definitely stay there again!
The place was easy to find, clean and very comfortable. Fully equipped. Great accommodation.
In the middle of New Bethesda. Clean and tidy. We had a very nice stay.
Almost in the heart of town, so it's great to be in the middle of the action. I just feel the house needs some maintenance and modernisation, and the back garden needs a lot of work. The mosquitoes ate us up, but of course it's not the house's fault. We had a great stay and will definitely come again!
A very comfortable stay in a fascinating dorpie.
The reception was not very good. There was no one at the overnight facilities and we received no communication that we needed to pick up the keys at another location. Everything was very messy and disorganized.
It may only be mentioned that key at Ibis must be collected.
