Oryx antelope and springbok make frequent appearances at the illuminated waterhole. The lodge offers morning or sunset drives for an additional charge, as well as walking trails for those who wish to explore the area.

Delicious well-equipped 'glamping' tents in beautiful surroundings. Nothing is missing here! Tent layout ensures ample privacy. We come again!
Baie lekker gebly en baie baie bederf met al die gemsbokke wat sommer voor jou deur lê. Swembad was lekker. Kos was lekker en net om die draai staan 'n pienk yskas in die middel van die woestyn met water en koeldranke! Sal beslis die plek aanbeveel vir enige tipe reisiger.

Accommodation's location and restaurant are very good, staff excellent and friendly, including reception. However, when it comes to paying extra charges and the system doesn't work, you become a hostage to a greedy system that guests, who prefer not to travel with a lot of cash on hand, distrust and can't imagine any alternative. You have to try to pay as a guest on a broken cell phone and on an unstable WiFi with an app that has problems and is not accepted by my Swedish fellow traveler's bank, for example. At least it is already 2023 and organizations must plan for such an eventuality!

We were in the tent accommodation. It is a bit away from the lodge and very private, very spacious for 2 people and also very spacious if there are 2 children. Dishes are of high quality and braai facilities are ok, built braai would be better. Bathroom is very nice and big with good water pressure and nice hot water, enough storage space for suitcases. We only checked in late on an April afternoon and heat was not a problem, but on hot summer days the tent will be hot. There is an air conditioner in there though which will help. At the lodge it is beautiful with 2 swimming pools and plenty of seating. We only ate breakfast, it was tasty but expensive at R200 per person. We look forward to going again.

Beautiful place, professional and care taking staff, great food, awesome backdrop of fossilised dunes with biking and hiking trails to live dunes, highly recommended. We stayed for 3 nights with family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids), place is kid friendly, though bit of a drive from Sossusvlei, but experience to stay next to fossilised dunes and hiking there, you won't get if staying next to camps near Sossusvlei.
The five-star accommodation in the tented camp offers absolute value for money.

Three friends and I did a tour of Namibia, of which Namib Desert Lodge was our first stay. We stayed in the Camping2Go (tent houses) and all our expectations were exceeded! The place is equipped with everything your heart could desire and more - from a working fridge, full bathroom, a braai area and all the utensils you could dream of - even a pot if you wanted to make potjie food! You are located far enough for privacy and an unobstructed view, yet close enough to make use of their facilities if you want to eat at their dining hall or stretch out at one of their swimming pools after climbing the Sossusvlei dunes. Namib Desert Lodge may be aimed more at foreign guests, but the Camping2Go is excellent value for money for South Africans (or Namibians) who want to tour the country and experience a camping effect without lugging their own camping equipment ( with the convenience of a full bathroom!) I paid in advance through the website, so the check-in and check-out process was comfortable and quick. There aren't really any shops in the area, so all food and drink must be taken with you (coffee and tea included), as well as your own braai wood. It will definitely stay with us as a highlight of our trip!
Awesome lodge. Camp2Go was really fantastic. Oryx grazing in front of our tent every morning. Very welcoming swimming pool with a cold glass of wine. Staff very friendly and helpful.
