Comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation is offered in a choice of 25 chalets, each with comfortable beds fitted with mosquito nets. Each chalet has its own bathroom, tea- and coffee-making facilities, and a private verandah in front of the room. Guests have access to a communal swimming pool.
The lodge’s impressive central entrance, designed in true African style with a wooden chandelier and carved animals, leads guests into the lodge, set between the trees. The dining room features a high thatched roof and boasts stunning views of the river.
Guests can visit the local traditional villages to experience basket weaving and beautiful wood carvings. For an additional charge, the lodge also offers boat trips on the Kwando River, and game drives by crossing the river by boat into the Bwabwata National Park and exploring the area on custom-built 4x4 vehicles. Guests have the possibility of seeing elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and zebra to name a few. Fishing trips are available, as well as guided and non-guided hiking trails. Stargazing is also available on request. Mudumu National Park is situated 41.2 km from the lodge and is accessible with guests’ private 4x4 vehicles on a self-drive basis.
