There is a restaurant and bar, Biki Byte Bistro, on the premises. Dogs are allowed if arranged in advance.

It was good for a weekend. Basic necessities. Two showers available but only one working. Unit lacks awnings at door facing river. The sun is very bad.

As a family, we had to move beds around between the units we lived in to accommodate everyone. Ria, the owner, allowed us to furnish ourselves as needed. If we were not sure about a matter or needed something, Ria was very quick to answer our WhatsApps.
For older people who want to fish and have to carry all their fishing gear up and down, the very steep stairs are a challenge. Only for youngsters who can still easily climb stairs.

Neat resort and chalet on the banks of the Vaal River. Well equipped. Easily accessible from Pretoria. The only complaints are that the bedside lamps could not be used due to a lack of wall plugs and one did not have a bulb in it. Same with the heaters. The blinds also lack something to open and close them with. With the power outages, the owners may need to consider a generator. Was very uncomfortable with cold water and no facilities to make boiling water because the power was off for a very long time. Then left earlier.
Should please just sort out WiFi, it's not as said on internet, there was no WiFi.
We enjoyed the weekend very much. Everyone has been friendly and helpful. Our children really enjoyed it with all the different things they could do. Nandini went out of her way to set up fun activities for the children. The river section is picturesque and I was able to take very nice photos. The men were great at fishing and who knew you could catch a catfish with a mulberry? There is even a very neat little shopping center very close by, where you can go and buy anything if you might have forgotten something. What really stands out about Nandini is that you really only need to pack your clothes and fishing gear. Although these are self-catering units, at Biki Byte you can order your food delivered to you, even at the shore.
My boyfriend and I were there for the weekend, he caught good fish and our 2 dogs were also welcome there. We all enjoyed it so much and felt so safe. Biki Byte was amazing! Food was delicious, and our dogs also enjoyed eating together from their small dog menu and swimming in the pool with us.
Very nice place, was cold like winter but is a very nice place and definitely recommend! Would go back again anytime. Thank you guys!

The friendliest staff were always very helpful and the food was absolutely delicious. They went out of there way to assist in any way that they could. Would absolutely recommend Nandini.
Nandini has a very nice atmosphere. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I am impressed with the amount of effort they put into keeping the kids busy. They didn't complain for one second.
They will definitely see us again later this year for nice fishing. Would like to see some more lights at the water. The chalet we stayed in was clean and has a very nice layout, but don't know if they cleaned under everything eg. wardrobe, blinds, curtains. Probably nothing, I know it's at the river, but we had an 8-month-old baby. Was a bit scared for spider bites for her.

Nandini is an incredibly beautiful place but the too short evening cleanliness and customer service as well as the little things unfortunately made it less pleasant. It is e.g. if you pay more than R1000 a night you assume that toilet paper is included, unfortunately it is not, just bring your own. Unfortunately the apartment was not clean upon arrival, and you do not have access to a broom to clean yourself, bring your own. It is mentioned that cleaning service can be arranged, but they also do not clean the braai facilities, so if you are staying a few nights, bring your own shovel because other guests will be using the braai facilities by the river and they will not be cleaned , not even the braai facilities at the apartment. Fishing is not that easy either, there are obviously a lot of rocks so bring lots of extra angles! Furthermore, there is really a lot for the children to do, and you have wonderful views.

We really enjoyed it. There may have been a bit of rain but nothing to hold us back. Better lighting at the riverside would have been nice, but it won't stop us from definitely going again. Aunt Ria was friendly and very accommodating. Thank you very much for everything and see you again soon.

It's absolutely a fishing paradise. It's absolutely safe and you can relax without disturbances from other people you don't know. The owner is in contact all the time to find out if everything is in order.

Only one small problem for someone who is not very fit, the descent and ascent to the river. Wow, it's very difficult and exhausting, but everything else is breathtaking and fun.
It is a lovely place, clean and quiet. Children were bored. This is really just for fishing if a family considers camping there.
Nandini is the most beautiful place and well located. It's so clean and homey and you feel at home there. Beautifully furnished and the sayings throughout the house make you forget about the hustle and bustle of city life. Maybe a ceiling fan in the living room also for the hot summer days. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ria van Nandini for an incredibly nice weekend from July 20th to July 22, 2018. The cottages are beautiful and really create a tranquillity everybody sometimes needs to break away from your every-day routine. Nandini is ideal for a break from the busy city life, and it's not too far away. The facilities offer a lot for children and fishing in the Vaal River. Accommodation was neat, modern and clean.
The place is quiet and peaceful, it was a refreshing weekend. Loved the decorations on the walls.
