Spacious room. Cozy retreat from the wet and windy weather in Paarl in July. The hearty breakfasts were a great kick-start to your day.

It was okay, wish we had more silence on the Saturday morning. There was quite a bit of noise made by the cleaners.
Shower drain was still full of hair from a previous guest, and a leftover shampoo bottle had not been removed from the shower either. I would have liked a place to rinse out my coffee cups as we were staying over for 2 nights. Even a small plastic container will work, with a cloth, dish soap and dish towel.

Nice stay but a few things that caused discomfort. Refrigerator does not make cold. Kitchen in unit well equipped but no sink to fill kettle. Have to use sink in bathroom which doesn't feel hygienic. Don't want to walk out late at night or early in the morning to large kitchen in main house. Closet in room to hang things would be nice, had to live out of suitcase. Had to carry dishes out because no sink. Hostess was lovely.
We attended a 40th birthday. All the guests were picked up by a van and the pick up point was right next to Nantes, so wonderfully worked out. Picked up and dropped off basically at our bed's porch. The premises are clean and very nice with a small swimming pool, lounge area with a beautiful view and it is located next to the Old Mill Theatre. The bed and pillows made for a great night's rest. There was an air conditioner in the room which helped a lot (Paarl can get very hot). We also had access to free wifi and a television with Netflix, YouTube, etc. Our hostess was very helpful and we were able to stream to our church's live broadcast on YouTube (Tygerberg Gesinskerk) Sunday morning at 09:00 and only allowed to clock out at 10:15 when it was finished. Can really recommend Nantes.
Well equipped unit with separate master bedroom. Because the main bedroom is in the roof, the wooden floors are a little noisy. Very neat and clean.

Guest house is centrally located and safe to walk to shops on the Main Street. We felt very much at home and there is a lot to do in the area. Also close to restaurants.

I am devastated by the horrible experience! We sat without power all night in Room 4! The shower drain was clogged and it was rotting! The old, dirty water came up I was absolutely nauseous. We had to shower in cold water! The coffeemaker's water had such green sluices in it. In addition, there was old, sour milk in the fridge. I tried to call the owner 2 times and her answer was that it was a problem that she could not prevent. Her ugly attitude didn't help. It was an absolute waste of money! I'm still nauseous! I would not recommend anyone to spend the night there!

When I booked our room, as far as I can remember, I booked one with two single beds, but received one with a double/queen bed. When we checked in and they saw that it was me and my grandmother and not my wife, they gave us an extra room to stay in at no extra cost. Very happy with the service and rooms, beds, coffee machines and bathrooms were of high quality, as well as Netflix and WiFi included. Will definitely come again when I ride the Winelands Cycle Race again.

It is a very beautiful and stylish guest house. Our stay was nice and the service is very good. The only negative comment is that I indicated a specific room on my reservation. We were then placed in another room and had to be moved to yet another room the next day. This was inconvenient and should not happen at a 4 star guest house.

When I'm in Paarl again for work, I'll automatically stay here. I would strongly recommend it. Thank you, Shani! Something that bothered me and was at the back of my mind the whole night was that, even though my car was on the premises, it wasn't behind a locked gate or a fence. There is a neighbourhood watch and some spotlights though, and nothing was amiss with my car the next morning. The town council just needs to give permission for a fence to be put up.
