We had a great time. Rick and Riette quickly made us feel at home. We ate well. Quiet on the farm with all the animals and farm sounds around us. Was nice like that among the mountains. Thank you very much.

The lodge is at the end of a scenic dirt road, nestled at the foot of a mountain. It is a simple, peaceful, family home on a working farm. We were welcomed by well-organized and warm owners who provided delicious food for dinner and breakfast as well as answers to the many questions we had about life on a farm.
Nebo was one surprise after another! We were received by Jessie, the sheepdog, with her stick, followed by our hostess, Riëtte! Spontaneous, beautiful and cheerful! The Loft was beautifully furnished with everything we needed, even fresh farm milk! The farm loves! A flock of sheep with a lamb. A pigsty with beautiful pigs! Geese and chickens! A silly chicken inspecting the houses! The beautiful pit bull, Sparkle, who looked after us at night. Zebras strolling by dog-friendly at sunset. A fox howling on the ridge. Dawn and sunset on a farm between the mountains with the Malutis against the sky, what more could we ask for? Barbecue fires, delicious! A clean Weber and a crate full of dry wood, much to Jessie's amusement! Don't wait or wonder, go visit Nebo! Reeds, thank you! You're a star!
Very nice stay. MTB riders dream with all the roads to ride. Owners are very friendly and hospitable. Will definitely visit again.
The accommodation was very neat and clean. The peaceful farm atmosphere with nature was really rest for the soul. Our hostess and her husband went out of their way to make our stay very pleasant. The food is very tasty. The accommodation is very child-friendly. It's a weekend I will remember for a long time.
We received such a warm welcome from Riette. She was most helpful, going out of her way to help us arrange our outings in Ficksburg and giving us information about the Cherry Festival venues on the 3 farms in the area. What a positive, enthusiastic hostess.

Fantastic view. Nice farm. Helpful and friendly hostess and gentleman. People went out of their way to serve us. Beautifully clean and large rooms, delicious farm food and cheap, real farm atmosphere. Felt very safe. Definitely going to stay there again next year during the cherry festival.
Had a wonderful stay and slept warm under the down duvet. We were looking for a quiet weekend and we were not disappointed. Riette's meals are top notch. Nice and fragrant farmer's food. We will use Nebo again.

We would have stayed the whole weekend and were looking forward to long hours of walking and motorbike riding in the beautiful surroundings. However, an incredible downpour turned the dirt road into a nightmare for motorcyclists. However, the owners of Nebo stepped in and loaded our bike onto their van and dropped us off neatly at the tarmac. Where else can you find such helpfulness, friendly help and high-quality service these days? In addition, the place is beautifully clean, the bed is cozy and the food is top notch. Go and try them!
Would recommend Nebo to people who love a quiet city / town environment. Very nice nature view with the mountains in the area.
The gate is opened by a code. It went wrong during the night. We were not informed about this, and the gate was left open during the rest of our visit. Been a bit of a security risk.
Cottages need work to refurbish, beds were clean and tidy. There had been a lot of flies. It could have been handled a little better. Owners were very helpful and friendly.
The representation on the web page is misleading in relation to which units are self-catering. This unit was apparently not self-catering but also had no hair dryer and no option to wash dishes except in the bathroom. There is no mirror in the room. There is no place to put down bags. There was only a bedside table on one side of the double bed. The shelf on which the microwave stands is so uneven that your coffee mug falls over. We rented two units and in both all the chairs to use outside were broken. The unit is in poor condition with broken tiles. It would also be good if there is some kind of sticker on the sliding doors for safety. We are aware of the farm situation, but still feel that something can be done to combat the enormous excess of flies.
The hostess catered for all requests and even supplied fire wood for free.

Location couldn't be better and the guesthouse owners are very friendly and helpful. The farm atmosphere contributes to the fun.
Two nights during Christmas celebrations in Ficksburg. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Living area nice space with nice view over the mountains.
Getting away from the city is wonderful on Nebo. Most friendly hostess and host. Most delicious, home-cooked food. The scenery is breathtaking. The road was a bit rough for an ordinary car, we will go with the van next time. Very nice central with Rosendal, Ficksburg and Clarens and Golden Gate very close. Walking and mountain biking are also possible on the farm, just bring your own bike.
