Everything you could wish for a good travel base!
The rooms were beautiful but felt a bit unfinished. Very small complaints such as shower doors that did not close properly, the kettle cord could not reach the outlet, one cupboard door was not fitted correctly, and the bathroom door was difficult to close with a broken handle on the inside. An awesome stay and an awesome experience, honestly, just needed a few attention to detail finishes.

We were assisted by friendly staff, however this is a backpackers and not a bnb. What we wanted and what we got were two different things. The bathroom wasn't separated by the rest of the room and as newly weds this wasn't pleasant. We however did enjoy the café and friendly staff, just not our room.
Very nice stay. Was just bitterly hot and the fan in the room was making noise. Couldn't sleep with it on. Would also like to have water in the rooms and maybe more milkies. The two bedrooms have only one bathroom. Ideal for family with children, but not for friends traveling together. The photos showed en-suite bathroom.
Really not a nice stay. The high price is not the reason I am giving negative feedback. When we arrived there was no one in reception. We waited. I called later to find that the receptionist had gone to the other site and would be there now. The room is tiny and cramped. No air conditioning, no fan! Windows open onto a passageway, so there is no privacy if one wants to let air through. Bathroom window opens onto neighbours' entrance door. Kettle cord is too short, have to boil water on the floor. Only ONE pillow on each bed. Shower's tile paint cap is off. This room is definitely not suitable for 2 people. The room in the photo makes it appear much larger.
We were a large group and arrived at different times. Unfortunately, the check-in process was very delayed.
I got a R1000 fine for parking right opposite the entrance, this while there were no yellow lines painted at all. Have they had similar cases and how were they handled? Would like their support to challenge the fine.
On arrival, we were advised to park on the street as there is no inside parking. Within 2 hours of parking right opposite our place of residence (on no yellow or red lines and in front of no "no parking" signs) we arrived at our rental car only to find we have received a R1000 fine for parking there. The room was beautiful and had everything as advertised (we had to ask 3 times for an extra blanket), but the floors are made of wood, so if you have a resident above you who thinks he/she has to walk 10,000 "steps" at 10h in the evening, it can get quite bad. Furthermore, I was looking forward to my first 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep in 3 months (my 3-month-old baby was at home with his grandma), only to be jolted out of my sleep at 20 past 3 by the laughter and shouting of residents coming home who had clearly been drinking all night. At the end of the day, I could have taken the R1000 fine money out on a more expensive place and received more value for money.
We had either hot or cold water. Showering was difficult.
