We were warmly welcomed by Tim and Elsa. Our unit was downstairs and walked out onto the lovely garden and most beautiful beach. Breakfast every morning was delicious and once again we were spoiled with hospitality. Close to restaurants and shops. For under R2000 per night it is absolute value for money! We are planning to stay here for a week in January.
This is the second time we have stayed here and will definitely book again in the future.
Location is not up to standard. Place needs a lot of attention. Our shower overflowed, had to use towels to dry floor. Shower head and arm are loose. Place needs a lot of attention.

It's a gem of a place with direct access to the beach. Service was excellent and facilities well maintained. Can really recommend the place if you want to rest and still be able to do it with your dog children too, thank you very much Jim.
Don't want to sound like a complainer, but the shower in the room we stayed in overflowed and soaked the whole bathroom when you showered. It was a bit inconvenient. Furthermore, there are no complaints.

If I could give 6 stars for location, I would do so. The Pink Lodge is perched right on a quiet, dog-friendly beach that goes on for kilometres, allowing for long lazy walks, as well as long lazy evenings on the private patio. It's also within very easy walking distance of the life-guard patrolled swimming beaches and the Wildnerness restaurants. Had I known what a treat we were in for, I'd have changed our schedule and stayed longer.
Clean rooms, very hospitable, good location.
They have just redone the en-suite bathroom of Hadeda (where we stayed) and for the first 2 days we could not keep it in the room. Our eyes watered from something still "soaping" out of the cement and as soon as we got into the room, we had to open everything and turn on the heater to deal with it. Also, they were busy with the bar counter downstairs - building with cement - and as a result the benches were all covered with "plastic wrap" and therefore the lounges downstairs were not usable. It felt like a "building site". I was initially very unhappy and wanted to look for other accommodation; but it is unpleasant to take it up with the management and also some of the other places were already full. If you take a break from your daily stress, then you don't want to end up in a stressful situation again. We then decided to just see it through, but definitely won't be going back.

The view is incredible, but unfortunately you need more than a view. Mattress was horrible. Don't know what it's made of. Curtains definitely need an update. For 4 star price, one would expect quite a better breakfast. No menu, just asked what you want for breakfast. Difficult if you don't know what's available for breakfast.

It was our second visit at The Pink Lodge. The price is much higher than the previous time (2015) and for this amount you expect perfection. The TV programs' available selection was little and very poor. The shower in our unit was terribly old and didn't work well (thin trickle of water). I would also have liked safer parking for my car. Otherwise it was a nice area, neat, with good service from the staff.
We had a great stay at The Pink Lodge. Very neat and clean and the bed was comfortable. Beautiful view with nice 'loungers' on the room's veranda to watch the waves, dolphins and whales. Breakfast was excellent and good portions. However, the lodge needs some renovation work, the water pressure is very low (there was almost no hot water in the sink). A larger selection of TV channels would also be appreciated. Would stay there again though.
This place is great. Best location on a quiet beach. The lodge needs an upgrade and it's a bit pricey.
The overall service levels were acceptable for a 4 star establishment, but me and my partner expected more of the maintenance, condition of the beds, etc.
The furniture on the internet and what we saw wasn't the same - the bathrooms are terrible and need attention. Take out showers in bathtubs.
I can only speak well of this stay. The area is perfect, very quiet. Friendly staff who are happy to help. Breakfast was very nice. Maybe purchase a small braai that one can pull outside on the grass to make a fire. A weber is not always nice.
The Pink Lodge is fantastically situated with the most beautiful view and access to the beach and sea. Rooms are neat, modern and perfectly equipped for our needs. Breakfast was delicious and more than adequate. We stayed 3 nights and wish it could have been longer! Will be back for sure. Suggestion: maybe time for a new name, since the lodge is no longer pink?

It was very nice will do it again. I would only recommend that air rails and heaters be installed, it was very cold in the Sea Shell compartment. I think for a 4 star there should be air conditioning and heaters. Furthermore, our stay was very nice and the meals, it's just the cold in the compartment we sat down.
Beautiful location, but the place is old. The aircon did not work, there was no window to open, had to struggle through the night with a noisy fan.
Everything was good, except that the staff tried too hard to help. Recommend allocating one staff member per guest instead of all 5 for one guest. They will also have to learn to read body language, eg. when a guest is busy eating breakfast, don't ask him if everything is fine when his mouth is full of food.

The guest house is located next to the sea, in a beautiful garden. Access to the beach is through the garden and then by stairs to a kilometer long sandy beach. Our room was spacious and extremely neat and comfortable. The room service was very good. Definitely a destination I will visit again in the future.

Very pleasant with a few shortcomings that made the overall stay a bit disappointing. Beautiful lodge with beautiful decor, extremely beautiful location, beautiful gardens and friendly service. I was under the impression that it would also offer sufficient self-catering facilities, but was extremely disappointed with this. The small fridge was so full of drinks and treats that could be purchased that there was almost no room for personal use. The sink had no hot water and we had to ask for washing up and drying cloths. There is only a microwave and no stove, pots or pans. A grill is available, but I don't know how one could even consider grilling without tongs etc. not. Your only option as far as meals are concerned is to eat out or reheat takeaway in the microwave.
We booked for two nights and only stayed for one. Excellent location on the beach with great service, but we felt that the room we stayed in was not up to scratch.

It's a quiet, licky place. We were there for our honeymoon and can really recommend it to everyone and also for the hospitality from our arrival to our departure.
Where does an ordinary person begin to describe something so perfect? From the moment I walked into The Pink Lodge, I was treated like "Royalty". The rooms are amazing, as is the sea view. The long, safe steps along the sea "recharged" everything. The fresh air and beauty is "breathtakingly beautiful". The meals served have satisfied all the taste buds, while the whales perform all kinds of tricks in front of you. I am a rested, new person. The Pink Lodge enchanted me and I am going back again!

Stunning setting, the highlight was two schools of dolphins entertaining us at the breakfast table which overlooks the sea.
The accommodation is fantastic with an incredible sea view. The staff are very friendly and spared no effort... even helped with carrying my son's kayak down to the beach. The breakfast can get attention.

This was the most expensive accommodation we booked and stayed at in our recent tour of the South African Garden Route. The rooms were spacious and the manager was very helpful, but the attention to detail could use some work - as there was no milk in the rooms to make tea/coffee, and the milk at breakfast was sour. On the other hand, the manager drove two members of our party into town for dinner and collected them afterwards.
