Nice and quiet on the Groot Gat site. Walk to the Protea Hotel for a delicious buffet breakfast.
The accommodation was clean, tidy and well maintained. There is a microwave, but no cutlery. It would help if the entrance to the Great Hole could be included in accommodation. It is not cheap accommodation and it is ridiculous to pay another R80 per person just to walk the few steps on the catwalk to the hole.
Reception was good. Houses were good. Location is excellent. Can recommend it if you want to visit the hole and museum.
It is neat and clean. Very quiet and safe. Only negative is that the place is advertised with free WiFi, but it was out of order, which the managers were aware of. But it was not mentioned.
