38 guests' feedbackWe stayed very comfortably there and enjoyed the animals all around. We really enjoyed the company of Bella the dog. What an absolute sweetie pie she is.
Niekerk's View was more than superb. The car park under the grapes in the shade was a delight. We walked into the room and felt, 'wow', it looks even better than in the pictures. The bed is comfy with very fresh linen and nice colours too. The shower is spacious and clean with nice tiles. There was water in the fridge and rusks, which were nice. Coffee, tea and sugar were also available. The kitchen had all you need, although a toaster would have been nice, but we found a solution. The TV was more than superb, and what a view! Grapes as far as you can see, a different sunrise every day, and nice walks in the surroundings. Nights were spent stargazing, with the Oranje river at walking distance. There was no WiFi, which was a blessing as it allowed us to disconnect from the world and enjoy this paradise. If I could, I would be back again and again. Do not hesitate if you are reading this: go and enjoy. 1. Beds are comfy. 2. Water availability. 3. Seating outside in the shade to enjoy the scenery, a glass of wine, reflect on the day, and enjoy nature and quietness. 4. The smell when you enter gives a feeling of freshness. 5. WiFi is as promised on the website.
Thank you Henko and Riekie, it was a wonderful oasis for weary travelers. Henko gave us good advice about Augrabies and we had a delicious barbecue every night with vine wood.
She also recommended us a good restaurant and Lake Grappa's oxtail was the best in a long time.
The unit exceeded our expectations and was gorgeous, very clean, well-prepared, and practical. The farm surroundings and waking up to the farm lifestyle was great. We really enjoyed our stay and the morning walks to greet the farm animals with the farm dog, Bella, were epic. A memory that I cherish as a city person. Well done to the hosts.
Pleasant farm stay. The apartment is done with care and high quality. Everything was in excellent condition.
The bed was comfortable, with a comfy duvet. We were uncomfortable though that there was no curtain over the front door window, as any outsider could have a direct view onto the bed area. We requested the host to resolve this, but she was not willing to help. The host left us a bottle of filtered drinking water, as the tap water is not fit for drinking. One bottle was too little for 2 people, so we asked the host to please provide us with more filtered water, but she made us feel this was too much to ask for and said we should buy our own water in the shop in Kakamas. The toilet seat just hung on its hinges, very askew to the side. And the sink in the kitchen was very impractical, difficult to use, and leaked water underneath. The grassy area right in front of the apartment was littered with a lot of dog poop, unpleasant to navigate.

Cup of fresh milk in the fridge - thank you very much! Bedding needs attention, fitted sheets are not nice. DSTV and WiFi would be nice.
My children really enjoyed the animals. We greeted the cat heavily.

The purpose of the visit was to visit the Augrabian waterfall. Niekerk's View is very conveniently located. Only 20 km from the Valle. Riekie received us kindly and provided useful information regarding other attractions in the area. Had a peaceful and relaxing few days with them on the farm.

Lovely place to stay and very friendly welcome. Everything one needs.
Friendly host. Everything was so clean, including the garden. We loved our stay on this farm with goats, sheep and chickens. The view of the wine farm was so beautiful as we wake up early in the morning.
We were kindly received by Henko in a shady garden that was specially watered to cool off the hot afternoon. In the late afternoon we had a great time relaxing at the braai place with delicious vine logs. Moet's special care, cleanliness and clinical clean unit impressed me the most.
The host was very helpful with tips regarding the area. It was lovely to wake up to farm sounds.
Very friendly owners. They kept us informed all the time about events, for example, load shedding etc. All I would advise is that they keep broom and mop in the room because they don't clean the place themselves daily. Otherwise it was a very pleasant stay.

Friendly people and beautiful surroundings. Accommodation is well furnished, comfortable, clean and tidy.
The stay on the working farm was fantastic. It felt like I had come home after a long journey. Bella, the boerboel, stole my heart and the gray kitten was the tip of my heart. It's nice to see and hear the sheep. Avril gave us a warm welcome and Riekie called to hear that everything was in order. I would go back anytime and recommend the place - this time longer than the 4 days we were there.

Easy to walk around this "island" in the Gariep amidst amazing bird life and end-of-summer vines stretching as far as one can see.
Beautiful place in a unique environment. It is part of a working farm so you hear and see sheep and vineyards and unfortunately also the barns which obstruct your view a bit, but the rest of the place and the friendliness of the owner make up for the rest. The bed is the best bed I've slept on in a long time and that includes my own bed. Was very nice thank you.
