Guests have access to Wi-Fi which has an UPS to support during load shedding.
In addition, there is a permanent tent set up with a braai area in the garden. It is situated on a deck surrounded by Milk Wood trees. The tent comprises a double bed mattress resting on grass reeds. Guests use separate bathroom facilities in the main house and use the owner's kitchen facilities.

55 guests' feedbackWe had a wonderful overnight stay at No. 4 Duke Street. It was exactly as advertised. Spotlessly clean with a comfy bed and crisp fresh bedding. We would definitely recommend it to our friends.
2 nights overnight. Centrally located but not unsafe, secure parking. Easily accessible from the N2. Clean and fully equipped with kitchen facilities. The mattress should be replaced.
Awesome place and peaceful environment.
We stayed there for 2 nights. The room was very tastefully furnished and very clean and tidy. Everything you would need is there, even coffee plungers. The table and chairs on the veranda are nice to sit by and enjoy a coffee. Our host was very friendly. Thank you, we would stay there again anytime.

Everything I needed was available at Duke 4.
The shower could do with a good cleaning, as well as the couch with a vacuum for the food crumbs in the sides of the couch.
Very private and anything that comes up is fixed immediately.
Bed was uncomfortable, and then we had cockroaches that crept through a hole in the floor. When I told the owner, he wasn't very surprised and not very apologetic. Seems like he knew and did nothing about it. He said he will do something now and said it is difficult to maintain an old house.
Was the worst accommodation I have experienced in all my travels due to the size of the room I was given for a stay of 10 nights, tucked at the back of the house. Other couples came and went for a night or two, and somehow they managed to get the unit with a proper kitchen and lounge, whereas my unit only had a workbench type of counter. There was a small fridge in which I could not even stock any groceries; the freezer portion was full once I stored some ice.
With a nice view over the bay. The best value for money I have experienced in a very long time.

Very centrally located. Good value for money.
Everything was neat and clean. Loved privacy and service was excellent. Suggestion: perhaps a once-in-a-lifetime exchange of bed linen and towels. And also a barbecue cleaning. For longer stays maybe cleaning services at extra cost of course. We had a great time and will definitely return.

Als is very clean and great.
Lights should only be switched on in the evening or early morning at stairs. It is pitch dark on stairs and you can fall and hurt yourself. Then upstairs at 2 Duke where there is a "portable" braai, there is a big tree over the braai. One will not be able to make a fire with wood, tree will catch fire. Finally, the "fancy" stove didn't work, so we couldn't have boiled water for coffee.

The guest house is centrally located, close to shops and historical attractions and it is easy to reach the sea from there. The apartment is comfortably furnished with even a washing machine and dryer. We highly recommend it.

We had a great time, the host was very friendly and helpful. The small kitchen is well equipped and was completely adequate for what we needed. The bathroom is neat and has a lovely, spacious shower. Parking is on the plot and behind an electric steel gate.
