Had an amazing stay at Nostalgia Gastehuis, Spa en Koffiewinkel. The staff was friendly and the rooms were incredibly neat and smelled amazing! I loved that it had a play area for the kids to have fun.
Really enjoyed our Nampo week, it was nice to walk into a clean and tidy room every night. All questions were answered immediately, approachable and friendly.

From making our booking to wishing us a safe journey home, the host was fantastic. She accommodated our unique requests and made us feel at home. Thank you for being so thoughtful and generous.
We received good and friendly service. Only two problems: 1. All our efforts to get the TV to work were fruitless, and 2. The only small window (up almost to the roof) was tied with wire so that it could not open. As a result, there was no fresh air to ventilate. We had to keep the front door ajar throughout the night to let in some cool air.
The rooms are spacious and attractive. However, there were no remotes for the air conditioners to warm the room.
The room I got was very cramped, while it turned out that there were larger rooms with more space available. Perhaps the photos and descriptions should be more complete on the web page when choosing a room. There were also no check-in instructions, so when I got there I had to call the managers first to find out where to go.

The accommodation was beautiful and the staff were all very friendly.
Upon our arrival, the staff was not informed of our reservation. I had to call the owner and inquire. The room was clean and tidy and exactly what we expected. Breakfast was a disappointment, but otherwise it was a very pleasant stay.
We use Nostalgia Gasethuis when we come to Viljoenskroon. Would recommend to anyone wanting to stay here.

We were just there for a stopover on our way to Nampo. The units were clean and tidy and all the requirements are met and more. Smallest detail in which provision is made. The beds are of good quality and we rested wonderfully. The breakfast was more than enough and we couldn't eat all. I would definitely recommend Nostalgia.

We arrived, found room 3 to be single beds. Then got double bed room 2 with a mattress that folds up, completely past its due date. Furthermore quite tidy, restaurant's service fair, just wait a very long time for your order, but at least it's fresh.

As the spa section is not available over weekends, I would suggest that this guest house not be marketed as a spa. The Gallery is also not an art gallery, but more a curio shop. All staff were very friendly and helpful, could not fault them. The main gate does get left open quite often, as there is nobody that monitors this, so security could become an issue. The kitchenette is very limited, and I would not recommend this for self-catering. This guesthouse is ideal for business travellers overnighting.
We didn't spend much time there, but our stay was very comfortable and Lisa was very helpful.

We loved the quiet and peacefulness of Viljoenskroon. At the Nostalgia Spa, Gastehuis and Gallery we were warmly welcomed into a peaceful atmosphere. In the rooms we were greeted by beauty and homeliness. Unique collections were on display in the gift shop. The meals were deliciously prepared. We enjoyed our Spa experience. Indeed a fantastic experience.
We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly and hospitable welcome. The room was impeccably clean and neat. The pretty garden with the most beautiful white roses impressed us. Thank you very much.
Stayed and slept very well. The place is nice, clean and value for money. The only negative comment is that in room 2 there was only hot water for 2 minutes in the morning when we got up. We had to wash in cold water.
Nostalgia is a jewel in Viljoenskroon. The place is beautiful and has a lot of atmosphere, definitely a must for any traveler who wants to stay overnight. Expect hospitality if you stay a night or two, it's lovely to receive the Free State kindness.
1) No cover to protect cars against sun and hail. 2) It would be safer to install electric motor at gate, lock and chain isn't really effective. I recommend Centurion.
I needed to be in Viljoenskroon for one night and I found this place to be an oasis. I will definitely stay at this place again.

Pleasant stay overall. Tip - install soap holder in the shower. It's not always for the elderly to have to bend down.
