Very nice stay, will come again.
Quiet and friendly service.
The Eye is a massive resort. The Hot and cold pools are neat and the resort itself is very clean and tidy. Everyone is exceptionally considerate. The take away meals are very reasonably priced and the food is fantastic. The store stocks everything you need. Uncle Benico, the owner is very friendly and makes arrangements with you before arrival, during your visit and also when you leave. All that might be missing is an umbrella or a small canopy outside at the braai if one might want to throw a sausage on the coals during the day. Furthermore, there is everything in the house that you need. And then the supertube for visitors is a bit expensive for just 4 hours of sliding. R50 per day where residents pay R10. And the putt-putt courts crew needs attention, we couldn't get hold of anyone to get the sticks, so we just left it. There were also other families who experienced the same problem.
Dirty rondawel. We used our own bedding. The warm pool is not hot.
Was lovely, peaceful. People were friendly.
I would just recommend that there are some DStv channels or any type of TV show, not just the DStv radio stations.
Stay was nice, just think the TV could be replaced with newer technology (32" flat screen).
We did not have privacy, the owner checked up on us every day and would just come around uninvited. We felt like criminals, like they're checking to see if we don`t steal something or burn the house down, If the owner wants to open his place to the public he must take all his personal stuff out and kept the basic stuff so there is a inventory list to check what is in the unit. I paid alot of money for the week and to come around to check up on us was not what we wanted. We wanted to get away from people and on my vication we wanted privacy.
Things that annoyed us. The unit was terribly cramped due to the wrong type of old furniture placed in the place. Lighting is poor. If you work near the cooking area, your shadow is always over everything and therefore makes visibility poor. There was too much unnecessary equipment just standing in the way. It wanted to appear as if the unit was being used as storage space. Otherwise the stay was good.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nr 70 Die Oog. We received a very good reception and the place was just what we needed, everything was there that we needed and it was more than we expected. The lapa was a nice place for us as a family and I would definitely recommend the place, we as a family will book this place again in the future. Many thanks to Benico for allowing us to use the place, it was very nice.

We checked in and the place was dirty, cups, glasses, etc. was dirty Floors, walls, everything dirty. Fridge inside dirty, I really think it would be great place if owners hire someone to clean. We had someone come in to clean 2 times. All old and done, single beds' mattresses done. For the price it is really poor, if we could we would have checked out and driven but George far. Was bitterly disappointed. We think price way too high for the place. Apparently there is DStv, not working at all. So we badly waste money.
Nice relaxing weekend, nice resort.
Very private and nice. Place is very need but cups was very dirty. The resort went backwards from what we was use to few years ago. Could not play putt putt because of very dirty track even the Jacuzzi's was very dirty. Some still have old water in. The slippery slide was broken and did not function. Warm water and cold water swimming pools was clean. Rest of stay was fine.
The place is not cleaned, which means you have to clean it yourself even when you get there. We were disappointed because we didn't expect to have to clean the place ourselves when we got there. If you are prepared for this and plan for it, it is probably OK. The rondavel is quite small and cramped with only a detached two-plate oven. The stoep is wonderfully comfortable and cosy.
Unfortunately, I can't say much good about this unit. We slept in the "outside room" and the mattress had its last lie 20 years ago. There is no more sponge on the mattress, you sleep on the "springs". The outer room's plates, glasses and cutlery were extremely dirty and to be able to wash them you have to boil the kettle for hot water in the sink.
