The lodge was named Ntamba, meaning ‘rock’ in the Xitsonga language, after the spectacular red syenite outcrops visible on the surrounding mountains. This family-friendly lodge can accommodate 10 guests and comprises 3 free-standing suites and 1 unit with 2 interleading suites, a main living area and an open-plan kitchen.
Each luxury bedroom suite is spacious and is furnished with a king-size bed that can be converted into twin beds fitted with Egyptian sheets and electric blankets, and features an en-suite bathroom fitted with a free-standing bath, a double shower, double basins, with access to a private outdoor shower. In addition, each bedroom suite contains air-conditioning, a desk, international plugs and USB ports, tea- and coffee-making facilities and a Nespresso coffee machine, a safe to store valuables, and a private deck.
In the main building, the fully equipped kitchen contains the necessary appliances, utensils, crockery and cutlery to prepare and cook meals, including a separate scullery area. The adjacent open-plan living area also has a TV lounge, and leads out to the spacious, covered entertainment area, which boasts a large outdoor dining table, patio furniture, a boma with a braai area and a firepit.
Game drives are included in your stay and conducted with a professional guide in a private 4x4 safari vehicle, in the exclusive Black Rhino Game Reserve and the Pilanesberg National Park.

We had a shaky start due to miscommunication regarding the generator which was broken when we arrived, but it was quickly sorted and my guests enjoyed a wonderful weekend without sitting in the dark. The staff are friendly and work so fast you hardly know they are there. The unit is well equipped with cutlery and glasses. We were a large group and there was never a shortage of anything. The beds slept wonderfully, als is top quality. We will definitely book at Ntamba Lodge again.
