It is also cleaned daily and fresh towels are put out. Breakfast was just as delicious and the bonus was fresh filter coffee daily. We will definitely stay there again.

Located on the outskirts of Paarl, the silence and tranquility of this pass can definitely be recommended to the traveller. Within driving distance of Franschhoek's beauty and all the other wine estates, the location is ideal. Breakfast here was something very special.

Nuwerus is my favourite place to stay in Cape Town or Boland area. It is peaceful, away from the normal city noise in an estate. The hostess and her family create a peaceful, warm and pleasant atmosphere. The place is tastefully equipped and kept well.

This is an excellent, enjoyable and comfortable facility with fantaictic rooms and breakfasts. The owners goes out of their way to assist in any matters.
It was terribly cold and what we appreciated the most was when we came back late at night and now think we came to a freezing cold room and bed, our air conditioner was on, so the room was wonderfully warm. Our bed's pillows were removed and our electric blanket on. Our kitchen was also on the side and cups were washed again. The meal the next morning was good - the room was clean and tidy and we felt safe. I would just like to close one side of the shower, it feels like a snow wind is blowing through it.
Would definitely go back there and recommend anyone to go. Won't be sorry!
Our weekend away at Nuwerus Lodge was tranquil and uplifting. Our groups all work together but we hardly have quality time to catch up and socialize and just to relax. This was so easy to do at Nuwerus. Jolanda and her family were friendly and accommodating. We sincerely had a lovely time and we can’t wait to go back.
The reception, but especially the hostess is simply wonderful. We had a beautiful room and the breakfast was a large selection of good food. My allergies were taken into account at all times. We will visit this place again when we travel towards Paarl.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, host was wonderful, friendly and extremely helpful and suggested places to eat. As it was so hot, we were upgraded to a more expensive suite, we were treated like royalty. Facilities were top quality and we had such a lovely view, we will definitely go back again. What a wonderful experience! The host and staff are friendly and helpful. You notice the care with which the rooms are designed - from the decor to the luxurious and very comfortable bedding and pillows. Rooms, dining area, terrain and swimming pool are beautiful, neat and clean. Breakfast was a treat. To my delight they are more than willing to cater to your dietary requirements (gluten free in my case). Please note that some of the rooms have a open plan bedroom and bathroom. Though well designed, some might find the open plan situation uncomfortable. However, the host first checked with us and she was more than willing to move us to different accommodation. Personally, we didn't mind it so much. Nuwerus has a great location away from traffic, yet only 4 min drive to Paarl town. Beyond the gate awaits a lovely stay.
