The booking by you was so easy and quick and without frills. We were reminded and informed in time. The reception at the guest house by the friendly Charmaine, who just walked up to us, was the first and best impression. Thank you very much, we immediately felt welcome.

We had a very nice stay. Was comfortable and exactly what we were looking for. There is poor cell phone reception, but it didn't bother us too much.
It was pleasant and comfortable, nice and cosy. The only problem was that the WiFi/television wasn't working. I think it's because of the location; they need a much stronger WiFi connection because our phones and our own WiFi weren't working. So, we couldn't watch TV or movies since the weather was cold. Other than that, everything was pleasant.
Our stay was exceptional, and the room was beyond comfortable. The only thing was we could not access the WiFi.

Had a good stay at Nuyvallei Gastehuis but the rooms were not suited for self-catering and were very tired looking. For example, the shower head was unable to hook up for a shower, and no plates or cutlery were supplied.

The bed was awful and needs to be replaced. The walls are thin so you hear everything your neighbours do. The property seems to be quite tired and a lot of maintenance is required. The receptionist was very friendly though.
Didn't have a nice stay. Shower didn't work. Cold water was very dirty/brown. Refrigerator was not turned on. Only 2 bath towels available. Electrical plugs not sufficient. The loadshedding lantern's battery was done.
Didn't find cabin 18 which was booked - TV out of order. Hut 17 TV doesn't work either. Pool green and temperature was 36 degrees! Sink area no light, no sink plug. Shower water flows very poorly! Sheets clean, but rest of linen old and could improve. Bed's mattress very weak. Staff very helpful.
Although we only slept in a tent, it was very unpleasant on Saturday night. I don't know if they rent out a hall as well, but the people went wild, drank and made a lot of noise until after 2 in the Sunday morning. The ablutions are attached to someone's cottage and have to walk through other guests' yard to get there. On arrival, there is no indication of where to report. The main gates are permanently open and the campsites are directly near the main gate and road where anyone can access the site. In addition, we felt very unsafe and unwelcome because the farm workers' children came to see how people store.
Ya, I would like to stay there again in the future.
Only issue was mostly cold water showers and hot water was hit and miss with no apparent reason.

The room I was in was quite old. But this is the tradition of the Capetians.
A cosy stay, the accommodation is basic but the linen is clean and we could have a good night's rest after attending a nearby wedding. It is good value for money as other nearby options would cost double the price. Bedside tables would have been a good addition in the second bedroom.
It was an excellent weekend, nice place with nice view, excellent service. Everything you needed, you got. I will definitely visit there again.
Friendly people who are very helpful and cute. They gave us a bigger spot that was open for no extra charge. The place is spacious and feels like home.
The blue sky and mountains that look like you can touch them are from another world, beautiful.
Quiet atmosphere, nice big rooms and lots of play space for children. Not to mention the beautiful gardens with their palm trees. It is good for large group of people and kids, and I must also say their units are affordable.
I'd definitely head back again, we didn't have enough time to enjoy the venue. Very accommodating host, a classic style venue that takes you back in time.
Charmaine was fantastic and went out of her way to help us with extras that were needed. We will definitely visit again.

Facilities good, just take braai pack with you to braai. The nearest restaurants after 18:00 are on Robertson or Woerster.

The owner was very nice and let us check in earlier. The view is stunning! Unfortunately the WiFi didn't work and we didn't have hot water. There is also no extra bedding and it was freezing cold. Our room also looked different from the photos.
Incredible bed - I used the location as a stopover - I needed to have a great, restful sleep. It was beyond my expectations. I love the freedom the location and the host portrayed - Charmaine, the hostess, was like a friend and treated us like family.
We booked room 18 in rondavel. When we arrived we were booked into an apartment with other people. We paid extra to stay alone in a rondavel. No hot water, went to complain about it and nothing was done about it. The minimum toilet paper in both bathrooms. The one room has very few and weak blankets. The next morning, no water. Bedside lights in master bedroom did not work. No wi-fi. Only weak. No trash in bathroom. Oh no! Hope we don't have to spend the night here again.
