We were kindly received. The room is particularly spacious (a former classroom of a primary school), but the bathroom could be a lot bigger given the abundance of space in the rest of the room. Everything else in good working order.

Although power etc. worked during load shedding, the room was not up to the standard we are used to. There was a dead fly on the bedside table, the bed was hollow and slept terribly uncomfortably. There were cups, plates and breakfast bowls in the room, but the breakfast bowls had bugs in them like small mosquitoes which just says the room was not checked before we came in, maybe a few days before we were there, but small detail was missing . The bathroom is also very small and if a larger man or woman wanted to use the shower they would not be able to get in and out of the shower. We were disappointed.

The lodge has a "hostel atmosphere" for me. Primary school converted into lodge. The bedding is old, but otherwise we had a nice stay. I would not choose Klawer as a tourist destination again.

Reminiscent of accommodation in the 60s and 70s in southern Africa, without any renovation. To keep up, the owners need to invest significantly. So sorry.
We have known Klawer and surrounding towns for years, mainly for their wines, the scorching heat but above all, the hospitality, caring people and memories of good times spent there as children. Oasis, a 1st visit, in every respect, kept these beautiful memories alive and pleasantly surprised us. This well maintained "school" accommodation was definitely what we needed, after a long day on the road from Keimoes via Springbok. Clean, tidy, spacious and complete is what we think back to. Delicious fish and chips for dinner and the hospitality was definitely the icing on the cake. A next time, God willing, definitely on the table.

Friendly welcome and pleasantly surprised with the school which has been converted into a lodge. Rooms are very nicely furnished and everything you need is to be found. John was also very helpful and makes sure you are happy. Had a nice breakfast the next morning. Of course the tame spring goats were a big surprise and the gardens were very tidy with all the farm animals.

Perfect stopover for the journey between the Cape/Stellenbosch and the world further north, whether you're on your way to Namibia, or want to see flowers. In a variation on the theme of the famous words of Mr Swartdenekker: "We're coming back!".

Maybe you could just look at bigger bath towels! Also make sure there is linen for extra sofa bed. Other than that it's really good!

We were received very well and the service was excellent. Oasis was a primary school before which was converted into a guest house. We thus slept in a former classroom. It was lovely, except that I wanted to recite my times tables all night long.

Everything was in place and we felt at home. Dinner was served to us in a tasty manner in our room at short notice. Breakfast was on time, nice, but too much! The small fridge was full of delicious, cool beer, soft drinks, water and white and red wine.
It is very quiet and safe. We really enjoyed it, thanks to staff.
Oasis Lodge is easy to find by reference from the road, the rooms are tidy with, good 'honesty' bar in each room with a variety which is very good if you have traveled far and then don't need the first to to check shops. Sorry our room's brochure had been taken away by the previous visitors so we didn't know about the option to order breakfast. It smelled delicious but we were already late and had to drive.
We were kindly received by John. The rooms are enormous. The floor creaks, but it doesn't seem to bother the other guests.
My dog was welcome, the air conditioning was a breeze and everything was nice and clean!
We had a nice stay, very big unit, only that there were geckos and insects flying around and crawling against the wall. One aircon didn't work, we were bitten by bugs while we slept, not sure if they were bed bugs. Pool and patio area very nice.

My family and I loved our weekend there and we can't wait for our next holiday because we know where we want to stay. I already directed my family to Oasis C Lodge for Easter holiday, just hope there will be accommodation. Blessings.
The facilities were very clean and you can see that they are doing the best that they can with what they have, but the bedding, linen and towels are old (clean though). The staff were very helpful and friendly, but we expected that the facilities would be better after seeing the photographs. The sparkling pool was definitely not sparkling. The units are not serviced daily unless requested at additional cost. We paid for a luxury double room and it was really not what we expected, it was so dark inside that you had to switch the lights on as the windows were blocked by a carport. The television was very small and it is so high on the wall that you could not see the screen. There was no place to sit, as you are let to believe in the photographs. The breakfast that we ordered was tasty and the portions generous (apart from the marmalade that was off and really awful coffee). Hilda and her staff are all very friendly and welcoming and they cannot be faulted on their service. I do think that if you are creating expectations by putting photographs up for advertising that you should meet or exceed the expectations.
The reception of this accommodation is very good and the staff is more than friendly. The accommodation itself is a bit disappointing. The rooms are dark and cold with a window overlooking an empty parking lot. There are super glue marks all over the room from notices that have been put up and taken down. There is only one power plug in the whole room and it is used for the kettle, fridge and TV, so if you want to charge your phone, work on a laptop or anything, you have to be at a certain point in the room and have to plug something else out to use it.
Very disappointed when we walked in. Place can be renovated. Bedding already very old. Glasses were not clean, dustbin still full of other people's rubbish. Want to know: don't they clean the next day? Never again.
Very friendly. Only problem was the bantam cocks (3) that made a racket at 04:00 in the morning. Impossible to get sleep after 04:00.

Oasis was an experience as it an old school building. Pool was refreshing! If there is any recommendations I could make to the management, it would be to use white linen. Had a good stay, thank you.
The rooms (classrooms) are very large and they are well furnished with fridge, kettle, microwave oven, etc. Characterful atmosphere with the two jumping goats outside at the back of the campsite.
Spacious and comfortable room. Delicious breakfast at a decent price. Friendly reception. Room was ready and clean. Had a nice time watching the animals (springbuck, hare, ducks, geese, etc.). Loud Italian family checked in the second night, but luckily they were quiet by 21:00. Only SABC 3 available. Maintenance needed here and there: ceiling, shower door, cables not very tidy. Delicious breakfast. Liquor, cooldrink, chocolates in fridge at very affordable prices. They charged R50 for a bottle of red that costs R46,50 in the store.
While we were happy with our stay, we felt the accommodation could be a bit more comfortable. The room could have been furnished more "homely".
A group of people or a large family would probably fit in better here, but if you arrive here out of season you should expect to sleep on your own in a large empty school. Not the most pleasant of circumstances for a "guest house" or B&B. The rooms have no decor and appear cold. Here you get a bed and a good hot shower but beyond that the room doesn't leave much to the imagination. We will unfortunately not stay there again, but if that is your taste, the place is clean and tidy and will do for those who are happy with it.
Place not worth price. Old school hostel. Lights at entrance and parking did not work and it was pitch dark. Pictures of the place are very misleading. The other guests who slept there made a lot of noise and we could not rest after a long journey. No extra amenities. Really felt like staying in a hostel or old hospital. Would not recommend.
The place is nice considering it used to be a school building. The pictures on the internet, however, are misleading. It is overpriced and there are better and nicer guesthouses in Vredendal. The swimming pool is bad and dirty and really needs attention. Hilda is friendly, but the place is too expensive for what it offers.

The staff at Oasis are very helpful and share useful information regarding attractions and things to do in the area. We also really enjoyed the 'farm life' at the back of the premises. I will definitely go there again.

The guest house is an old school that has been converted and it's done great. We were pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness and finish of the rooms. There are basic self-catering facilities in the room and breakfast is provided. The pool area has a small braai area for guests to use.
We really enjoyed the friendliness and the whole experience. It's such a nice break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Too bad it's not closer, otherwise I'd be there every weekend.

I like the originality they try to keep the school. Think they will be even more of a 1st choice when the bar is set up. I know the dogs are "family" but please keep them out of the dining hall. Otherwise I was very happy.

The staff is truly wonderful and even made us breakfast before work time. The pool is beautifully clean and the room and bathroom were very neat. I can see that hunters can have a great time here, because even barbecue packages are available.

This is an old school hostel you are staying in. The picture attached completely misrepresents the place. Based on the picture I was very excited to get there but was totally disappointed. The breakfast was passable.
Secure parking for your vehicle. Was supposed to be non-smoking rooms, but the room smelled of smoke only to find a pack of cigarettes in the trash... Rooms are neat, but don't expect anything fancy. An awful lot of mosquitoes.
When we arrived at Oasis there was a cleaning lady who gave the key. We never saw any staff again after that. The restaurant and everything was locked. We went out in the afternoon and came back late afternoon. We had to unlock and lock ourselves. We were also the only guests there and the only place that was unlocked was our room. The next morning we had to unlock reception again and see for ourselves where we could store the key for the people before we left. It was extremely poor and I would never recommend the place to anyone.

The people were friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have easy chairs in our rooms or somewhere to sit. It was too cold to sit around the pool. Unfortunately we were the only 2 people at the resort so it felt very strange.
