Wonderful place to stay. Quiet and very clean. Breathtaking view of Tandjiesberg. Management was helpful and available at all times. Staff were friendly. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. The dogs enjoyed it just as much. We will definitely stay there again in the future.
Oban Historical Guest Farm surprised me - I did a very quick booking and received so much more than what was asked for. Beautiful setting, warm hospitality, clean and neat. The place is in the process of being renovated, and I can see that the owner is putting in a lot of time and effort to make the place neat as a pin. They were flexible in their approach and very accomodating. Breakfast with eggs from the chickens that roam the farm. Just loved being in a quiet and tranquil setting with lovely sunrise and sunsets views to appreciate. Will definately be back.

8 km dirt road was drivable. Hospitably received. Lots of history on the farm. Could breathe well.
Very friendly service, very nice view, farm animals, mountains. It is a very peaceful place to relax and it is pet friendly if arranged. The owner is very helpful and will do anything to make sure you feel at home.
New owners who are busy upgrading the place, needs work but there is love for the place and people and has huge potential. The owners are great and treat you like family. The location is really out of this world.

As a nature photographer, I regularly stay at Oban Guest Farm. The rooms are neat and clean, the food is good, and the scenery in the immediate area is awesome. I will be back again for sure. Thanks Thea and Steven for another great stay!

We had a great stay even though there is no WiFi or signal in the houses outside the guest house. The room's carpets were also wet and did not have a pleasant smell. The fridge works but you have to keep the door closed with something like a chair or something. It's very peaceful and beautiful and as I say we did sleep and eat well. Thank you very much.
Our room smelled of caturines. Shards of glass were lying in the bathroom and after reporting it was still not cleaned. Owners/hosts were never available and had to see to it themselves most of the time. Expect weak coffee at a price and margarine instead. butter. Fleas on lounge sofas and no coffee making facility for rooms.
Went out of their way to make an early morning departure very convenient. Engaging owners and nice rooms.

Rest for your soul. We used Oban Guest as overnight accommodation on our way back from Natal and are so sorry we didn't stay longer. The view is incredible. You simply become calm. The dinner and breakfast were delicious. The unit is very beautiful, spacious and incredibly tidy. The garden was also well fenced to keep our two animal children safe. Kim, thank you very much for your and the other staff's friendly welcome and pampering. We enjoyed our visit very much. Next time we will discuss much longer.
Room just for sleeping and showering. Could however get coffee and tea in separate room with a nice big living room with lovely fireplace to relax. The dinner and breakfast were excellent and the hospitality with the owners at the forefront unbeatable. The other advantages therefore more than compensated for the bedroom, which was neat but not one of the best.
Ideally located for overnight accommodation, breakfast was delicious with excellent hospitality. Can definitely recommend.
