101 guests' feedbackWe know the accommodation very well and have stayed there a few times. Overall, a very neat building. It is also located in a beautiful location - almost in the middle of the west side of False Bay. The view is incredible and you can literally see Falsbaai's two points in the sea! The most beautiful photos can be taken here. The unit is very neat and has everything needed for self-catering. The air-fryer was a very handy extra device and convenient for preparing fast and healthy food. This is a device that we have never come across in a self-catering unit before. The absence of DSTV may bother TV addicts a bit, but we welcomed the accommodation and location more than TV! The free unlimited internet with an above average line speed is also extra value for money. We will definitely return to this great unit.
Very nice stay, but if you don't have a vehicle, it's just too far from the swimming beach. You're going into a coma (hehehehe). Although I really enjoyed it and love walking, the apartment is really amazing. I really enjoyed my few days. Maybe just update your post: the restaurant is no longer Ocean Basket for a long time. It's now The Cove. Unbelievably good food, and the restaurant staff is amazing.
Walking along the beach was exciting. Very convenient with restaurant, parking and shops nearby. Most beautiful view.
I definitely liked the place and the view. I will most definitely come again for another stay. Once there is availability, I already checked for dates available now in December. Sadly, I didn't get. The only problem maybe was we were struggling with the TV and getting movies to watch, but not a big problem at all.

It's only the WiFi and parking that we weren't happy about, and then some of the glasses and mugs weren't cleaned properly, but otherwise we enjoyed everything.

Criticism: blocked toilet paper, fingerprints on the windows obstructed the beautiful view of the sea, soap dispenser does not work, no information regarding room service.
We had a wonderful time staying there. The view of the ocean is amazing and being able to look at the view any time, day or night, is a huge plus. There is a fire alarm that went off whenever we tried to make something but the security checked up, without making themselves a nuisance, to ensure that it wasn't an actual fire - that I appreciated. The front desk was so friendly and appreciated the welcome.

Just a few problems: Was there 10 before 2 on check-in day and had to hear that the hotel guests get priority for undercover parking, but according to the confirmation it's first-seen-first-served and my car had to park outside on the street for 3 days, luckily could security keep an eye on it. It's just easier for me to park inside to use the elevator for our luggage, I'm not that comfortable walking, so we checked in at reception early.
Used the pan to fry eggs and triggered the smoke detector twice.
Outdated apartment. To much furniture for such a small place. Not a proper king bed but two three quarter mattresses added together which results in the bed splitting. Bedding and towels used old and dated with holes on them. Bathroom extractor fan not switching off when light is off runs the entire day and night, very annoying. Curtains off the rail, no clips to add back onto the rail. Kitchen cupboards hanging skew. Bar fridge over freezes and very small for self catering. Complex itself is very noise at all times. Basement entrance for cars not clean.

Well-equipped self-catering unit. Very nice view of the sea. Parking was only a problem for us. Had to park outside the whole time. There is only a guard at the cars in the evenings. We asked three times at reception for parking in the parking garage. As soon as they hear the number of the apartment, they say the parking garage is full and they have to accommodate the owners of the apartments first anyway.

The reception staff at the hotel are extremely unfit and do not give all the rules to the clients. Like the gate that is closed early on certain days, the extra covered parking etc. Smoking areas are not nice at all.
The hotel entrance was dirty and the reception was not welcoming at all. The undercover parking was then no longer R30, but R50 and this is only if there is space, otherwise your vehicle must be parked in the street. The inhabitants of Strand catch fish throughout the night and it is in front of your bedroom window. It's a hack of shocka all night, it doesn't stop. On arrival the room was not clean and tidy. Throughout the night the guests run around ringing the alarm. There is no tranquility in the hotel.
Parking and WiFi cost extra. No sugar and coffee bags, no toilet paper. Bedding was not completely clean. Hotel did not treat us well and car was broken into in front of hotel. Not a pleasant stay.
The view was exceptional and the accommodation was fantastic. Unit 416 was neat and clean and located next to the sea with places to eat conveniently nearby. We will definitely be staying at Unit416 again.

We were kindly received at reception who helped us with our luggage to the 4th floor. We were also able to find secure parking in the basement. The room was tidy and so were the bedding and crockery. During the weekend there was a lot of fog over the sea, but still it was nice to have such a wide view over the sea and the Hottentots Hollandberge.
The apartment is ideal for two people. There's everything you need, sea view is fantastic and the restaurant a plus. Owner's response is quick and friendly. Very good customer service.

We had a good stay, convenient and within walking distance to everything, close to restaurants and shops. Accommodation is clean and fresh with the noise of the sea in your ears!
To mention a few minor issues: not all services was included due to it being a private facility, eg. WiFi and parking. The iron causes plugs to trip. Other than that, the stay was lovely.

I'd definitely recommend this unit, and visit again. I like Ocean Basket and had a lovely meal there. Parking is safe at an extra fee.
The only critique is that the duvet can be replaced as well as the bathroom mats.
Why so much for parking and that is if there is room for a car, otherwise park in the street.
We found the unit very comfortable.
Good beachfront accommodation, quiet and comfortable, with sea views. Everything was clean and in working order. Ocean Basket on ground floor as part of building and shops conveniently close by. Try to arrange parking in advance otherwise you have to park in the street, although there are cameras that monitor it.

Good day. It's a lovely apartment with a beautiful view. Although most of the apartment was clean, I grinned for the cables and kitchenware that had a lot of grease stains or something on it. The boiler was not wiped off and the kitchen counter is gritty-dirty. There was a panty at the bottom of one of the cupboards. Finally, the bath water was lukewarm.
Place is just enough, view. Very nice, furniture a bit on the old side.
As already mentioned, the view is very beautiful. Clean and tidy. Parking was a problem for us, at least it was solved. Given the crime in our country, we prefer places with safe parking.

Bachelor apartment (25sqm) with well appointed, other than a few cracked pieces of dinnerware, kitchenette. Apartment, in comparison with other privately owned apartments within complex and in which we have stayed previously project as being neglected, old, tired and shabby. In need of a serious renovation overall.

Would recommend the unit to anyone. The parking which is charged separately can only be charged together with daily rate as only this was a problem with our vehicle. Beautiful ocean view and the flat is clean and neat. The duvet needs to be replaced - looked tethered and worn. On the first evening we struggled a bit with the DStv, but the owner sorted it out for us with reception's help. We paid an extra R25 per day to park our car safely in the basement parking. Luckily it was off season so there was enough space for us. There is an Ocean Basket on the ground floor near reception and we had a delicious meal there. Close and convenient.
Nice accommodation for 3 nights. Only 2 problems: no safe parking, had to leave vehicle in the street. Shower has to run a few minutes before the water gets warm.
Will be very hot in summer. Needs an air conditioner or other cooling device. Otherwise very nice.

The room was very nice, but not really cooking facilities. However, this did not bother us as we drove around a lot. The view is beautiful and our stay was very pleasant.
The security guard at the entrance was a nuisance at all times. Would have appreciated if it was also stated that no secure parking is available except at an extra cost. Otherwise it was very nice. Will use their services again.
The unit was small, but adequately equipped and clean with a beautiful view. We had a nice stay. Our only complaints have more to do with the building the unit is located in rather than the unit itself. The building needs maintenance - during our stay one elevator was permanently out of order. At first we couldn't find the stairs and got tired of waiting for the one working lift, so we used the fire escape. Here we found the fire escape being used as storage - a major safety risk. It would be good if the owners of the unit could address the above.
The accommodation was clean and tidy. I have 2 problems with the accommodation. There is no secure parking inside the building for guests not booked through the hotel. There is smoking in the rooms on the same floor where we lived and the smell is unbearable in the corridors when you move there. You dare not open your room door. We are allergic to smoke and this caused us to develop severe sinusitis from having to move through the smoke corridor. The hotel management just shrugged their shoulders. I think it should be reported to the health department. This is a public place and no smoking should be allowed in the building. We really enjoyed the Ocean Basket which is on the ground floor.

Pleasant stay that can be recommended.
The apartment is good value for money, neat and clean. The sea view is fantastic. The complaints that people put on LekkeSlaap regarding the lifts and parking are valid. If you really feel you should complain about something, you can mention it. LekkeSlaap's service is brilliant, will definitely use you again!

I think 416 had a awesome view, but installing a air-con would help the constant glare from the sun which made the room boil. The owner of 416 was very helpful when I had numerous issues with the front desk. I think its more the hotel itself that's a problem, with very rude staff, countless errors and more being rude and unpleasant. There is no air conditioning in the entire hotel not even a fan in the hallways or foyer. In 38 degree heat I had to walk into a bigger oven ... that's Cape Seaview hotel. The most awful experience was carrying all my luggage up the stairway all the way to 416 fourth floor as the lifts we're not working, and we were told that it would come on that night but never did, we ended up walking stairs our whole stay. There are also no hotel porters. You have to pay for your room and carry all your luggage up with no offers of assistance when the lifts are out of order. I feel the hotel should at least hire some porters whilst they try to fix their lift! This situation was very unprofessional and creates a bad impression for guests of the independent owners of hotel rooms. I really feel you should do something to change the hotel as I feel that you are messing it up for 416!
The room is conveniently located and everything is quite tasteful. However, there are a few points that were disturbing. The TV is RIDICULOUSLY small. There is no trash in the kitchen. There is no bed mat in front of the bed. It's very creepy to get into bed without wiping your feet first. Creepy floor mop in wardrobe NOT working AT ALL. It makes everything smell dirty and stuffy.
