58 guests' feedbackThis was an amazing little hideaway for a stopover en route and a perfect spot to explore the friendly village of Loxton. It's not an upmarket hotel - if you want that, look elsewhere, but it's a homely little garden cottage with everything you need and attentive hosts. Tea, coffee, milk, rusks and all sorts of little conveniences laid on - nothing I find to fault. Thank you.
Was pleasant and had everything needed. We were kindly received, and everything was as on the website. Could have a good barbecue, warm sleep and shower. Will definitely use OënaBo again if we get the chance. Thank you.
Thank you for your kind reception. Your place is beautiful.
Lovely neat accommodation. Location perfect! Friendly reception.
Very neat place, safe, and equipped with everything. We stayed 2 nights with the lovely hospitable people. We walked the streets and supported both eateries in town, as well as the cooperative.
Lovely peaceful atmosphere and felt really safe.
Perfect spot for a short overnight stay in Loxton.
Comfy and cosy garden apartment in a quiet part of Loxton with off-street parking. While small, it is private and has everything you need for a restful self-catering stay.
Friendly reception. Peaceful atmosphere and hospitable owners.
The welcome was pleasant and the place has everything you can think of.
Quiet and comfortable and safe.
Very, very nice! Quiet and peaceful with excellent hosts.
Quaint and it was all we needed for our stopover.
It was so nice at Oenabo, they carried us on their hands and we slept very well and it was particularly safe for us. We really enjoyed our stay.
Secure covered parking. Quiet environment. Was cold, but slept well with the electric blanket. Had everything I needed. Thank you very much.
Friendly reception, warm beds, exactly what we needed for the visit to Loxton.
We spent the night in Loxton on a freezing cold night, but a heater and electric blanket made for a cozy stay. If the weather had been better, we would have enjoyed spending time outside. Very good value for money.
Very cute uncle and aunt. Received us warmly with delicious coffee and biscuits. Overnight is really value for money with all the basics one needs.
What a pleasant stay. Dinah and Athol went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable. Even during load shedding they had the generator on to provide lights. The gas geyser worked brilliantly.
Quiet, clean, secure cottage with outdoor table and chairs. Lovely welcoming hosts.
It was pleasant to stay here and I will go back.
Oenabo is a delightful little cottage with all the required amenities, which made for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Well welcomed. Came as strangers and rode as family. Very nice people. Would highly recommend it.
Perfect for a night or two for single or two people. Neat and clean value for money accommodation. Perfectly located to walk around town from here.
Small with everything, including carport and outside dining. Also braai place and wood. Thanks to Dinah and Atholl.
I had a nice stay and there is everything that is needed. There is a carport for parking your vehicle on the premises itself and behind a lockable steel gate. I've given 4/5 stars for Location, not because Oenabo's location in town isn't in a good spot, but simply because the unit's location on the site means that the windows don't really offer a panoramic view of the garden or surroundings.
See stars.
The owners are such hospitable beautiful people that it felt like family. Only place where there is still soap, shampoo etc. was available. We arrived on Mother's Day and there was a small gift left for us. It's those little things that make the place special. Our daughter, Wanda, booked for us.
Extra provision made for during load shedding. Everything we needed.
Everything you need to rejuvenate the soul. A perfectly comfortable and perfectly safe little cottage in a garden setting. Birds, bees and serenity. Your hosts Athol and Dina are the salt of the earth beautiful people who cannot do enough for you. A pristine little town with the friendliest people.
Danie Dinah & Athol for a wonderful rest with you. We were refreshingly able to start our journey again after a beautiful evening with you in a beautiful and tidy oasis. On our next visit to Loxton you will have visitors again.
Nice accommodation with hospitable people. Thank you very much Dinah. Hope to see you again. Blessings.
Oenabo is a beautiful overnight place. Dinah and her husband are 2 lovely people who go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Anyone looking for overnight accommodation when visiting Loxton, support the Aunty and Uncle, you won't be disappointed.
Everything you need for an overnight stay with Karoo hospitality!
We enjoyed the stay very much. Genuine Karoo hospitality! We hit phase 6 load shedding. Here at Oenabo there was power, because they have a generator and a lot of extras like rechargeable light, headlights, gas geyser. So we could sleep nice and warm with electric blankets. Furthermore, there were packets of soup, instant porridge, enough coffee and sugar and milk creams, soap and a hairdryer and a radio! Dinah and Athol are warm hosts and really go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Fantastic hosts and a great place to stay!
We really enjoyed the overnight stay and everything was clean and tidy. Thank you very much!
Very warmly received by the owners, everything you need plus even more and thank you very much for the delicious treats, we felt very at home and safe. Would definitely recommend to travelers who want to spend the night here and would use the accommodation again myself.
Very friendly hosts. Clean, well stocked and organised flat. Comfortable bed. Electric blanket.
They are beautiful, lovely and helpful people. Definitely 100% recommendable. The hostess even arranged dinner for us with a lady in town and it was delivered to us. It's a place where you just want to stay longer.
Dinah and Athol welcomed us warmly and are very helpful. The little apartment is small, but very comfortable, neat, clean and well equipped (apart from DStv, which one can easily do without for a while). Has everything a visitor needs. The secure covered parking right next to the apartment is very convenient. Also take note of the food products that are for sale at Dinah. Be aware that the address is not indicated accurately on a GPS. If you end up in the street between the Loxton Lekker coffee shop and the liquor store opposite the church, you are in the wrong place. Drive a quarter of a turn further around the circle and turn down the first street on the left; Oenabo is a few houses further down that street.
Warm welcome. Owners very friendly, hospitable, inquired if we were warm enough. Nice chat. Very nice stay. Learned from garlic and asparagus. Has generator for power outages.
Safe accommodation in a typical Karoo village. Secure covered parking and cozy, well-equipped accommodation.
Owners there to welcome you. Not luxurious but very clean. Absolutely value for money. Would highly recommend Oënabo.
Oenabo is actually Eyes upwards. Beautiful with everything you need plus a bunch of extras.
The room is neat with an equipped, small kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. Everything you need in the Upper Karoo.
We enjoyed the stay at Dinah's Oenabo (Oë-na-bo) Guesthouse. She left us tea, coffee, milk, rusks, cereal and freshly baked cheese scones. There is everything you need.
The place's name is not Oenabo, but "Eyes Above".
Support the tannie.
A lot of effort has been put into the unit to meet all needs. Here, the extra mile is definitely walked for guests.
Als wat jy nodig het is skoon en netjies daar. Die gasvrou was baie vriendelik en het ons tuis laat voel.
Neat with absolutely everything you need - down to the smallest thing has been thought of (the hosts are chefs themselves). Definitely recommend, they will see me again - thank you very much for all your hard work!
We really enjoyed the hospitality, lovely garden and silence. A big plus is the secure parking behind lock and bolt right next to the apartment.
We had a very pleasant stay at Oenabo. A delightful couple who were so willing to please. We were travelling to Cape Town and wanted to stay overnight without spending a fortune but have a good sleep in a clean self-catering unit with our car being safe and we couldn't have wished for more.
Friendly owner/managers. Very private. Nice barbecue place. Weather was cold but warm blanket kept the bed nice and warm.
Was absolutely worth it. People very hospitable. Got much more than we expected. They can definitely make their prices more. Thank you very, very much.
Accommodation was very clean and tidy. Owner very friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome and at home.
Dinah is effective with the follow-up regarding the booking.
