The stay was great, lovely places to walk to, encounters with wildlife, and an extremely friendly, family dog who adopted us. Close to Nottingham Road and other lovely Midlands Meander spots.

The setting was serene and beautiful. The Dairy cottage was comfortable and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our time away. The host was friendly and most helpful and obliging. I would definitely return. Old Balgowan farm is not too far from the Midmar dam.
We had a great time hanging out and grilling. The place has a beautiful view and everything you think you might need is already available in each cottage.

The rooms are clean, service is great. It is so peaceful and the kids could keep themselves busy paddling on the dam, and running around the farm.

Well received by Vicki, the cottage is neat and clean with all facilities as advertised. Enjoyed a leisurely walk on the farm and snuggled up at the indoor fireplace on a cold night.

Have a nice time! Clean facilities with good service from owners - we accidentally locked ourselves in the unit and they came to help quickly. Solar lights for load shedding, gas and all the attention to detail one notices. Lots of board games also available which we enjoyed. Boys enjoyed the hammock/chair as part of relaxation.
The cottage is located in a beautiful valley with surrounding hills and dams. It is a working farm so we visited the horses, ponies and hand-reared calves and got to feed them all, which made the kids very happy. It did rain the whole time we were there, but that didn't damper our fun and enjoyment, but I would recommend some gum boots if rain is expected. The fireplace came in very handy to help dry out the wet socks and shoes. Vicki was very friendly and even helped out with milk that we had forgotten. The stove is gas which is very helpful for the dreaded loadshedding times.
We absolutely loved our stay. Definitely making it our regular getaway. Vicki and everyone else on the farm is so amazing. Kids loved being free and venturing about. Definitely give it 5 stars. Thank you for such an amazing stay. See you guys all very soon.

Overslept twice. Dairy cottage and Fisherman's cottage. Both very comfortable and well equipped. Very clean. Vicki received us kindly and goes out of her way to help people. Can recommend them with confidence.

When a sleepover talks to you, you have to listen. Old Balgowan Farm. Don't ask if you will come again. Old Balgowan Farm says that if you stay away you will miss it a lot. It is very, very peaceful.
