The on-site Ombo Restaurant offers an a la carte menu with meat dishes, vegetarian dishes, various salads, seafood and for the Namibian taste, ostrich meat and eggs. The restaurant also offers crocodile meat, Omajovas and freshly baked caked every day.
Ombo Rest Camp’s farm stall provides braai packs, firewood, ice and soft drinks, and homemade products like biltong, droëwors, smoked meat, honey, jams and a variety of juices. There is also a souvenir shop where you can purchase a reminder of this beautiful country.
An Ostrich and Crocodile Tour is offered daily, during which you will be able to touch and feed the ostriches. Wild animals can be viewed directly from all the bungalow's and restaurant onto the waterhole.

The accommodation is basic. Delicious breakfast and a paradise to relax and study bird life.
We were warmly received - the managers went out of their way to help us with drinks and dinner.
No, it was way too expensive for what you get. Bedding was old and faded and torn. Main light in the room did not work. Ketel worked hard. Toilet's pull action was broken. No hot water in the morning, because the donkey is stoked too late. Food was not good at all. Steak was tough and pale pink in color.
Long long ago it must have been very beautiful. We understand due to droughts etc. has the place challenges. BUT, then please your accommodation fee accordingly. NO game drives or crocodile shows. Had to take a cold shower. The necessary kitchen equipment is no longer in the residential units. Oh, no. Just cut our stay short. You have a gem of a place. BASIC things can only be fixed again to make them TIP-TOP again.
Goods in store are scarce, there is no choice.
The camp has a special atmosphere. Nothing extravagant, with a relaxing feeling. The animals so close to the camp is a plus as part of the experience.
The accommodation is very basic, but the hospitality and service is absolutely fantastic!
Was very kindly received, a very nicely maintained place. Would just like to see more attention paid to the farm stalls. And then there was no information given for after hours contact if something was wrong. Furthermore, it had been a nice and peaceful place.
One big room with one double bed, two 3 quarter-beds and a babycot mattress for a fifth person who couldn't sleep on it. We had to push the two 3 quarter-beds together so that 3 people can sleep on it. The room needs a bigger air conditioning, the room is very hot and the bathroom feels like a sauna. The shower door is an industrial door and is very uncomfortable to use, my finger got caught in it.
I experienced everything in one as they promised. Elephant watching, animals at the watering hole, wildlife viewing tour.
Good, friendly service, very quiet. Farm atmosphere. As a recommendation, I would only suggest that the crockery be placed in the chalets before arrival according to the number of guests booked. If you have a long drive behind you, you don't feel like determining what you will need for your stay.
