Jeffreys Bay is famous for its surfing, and what distinguishes it is that the cold water of the Atlantic Ocean and the warm currents of the Indian Ocean combine to create the best high waves. The super tubes are about 1 km away, and the Albatros surfspot, where the dolphins play, is right in front of the house. Whales visit the bay in September. Jeffreys Bay has three blue-flag beaches, and Kabeljous Beach is about 400 meters away. The beach stretches for 11 kilometers, and visitors can walk until they reach the Gamtoos River. Fishing, deep sea diving, surf lessons, sandboarding, bike rides along the sea, and horseback riding excursions were among the activities available in the area. Jeffreys Bay is also the Eastern Cape's calamari industry hub, and fresh seafood is plentiful at the town's excellent restaurants. There are also a lot of coffee shops.
