On the Rocks B&B is a beautiful guesthouse. The room and bathroom were sparkling clean, nicely furnished and equipped with everything needed. The view was incredible. The breakfast was delicious and we were able to indulge a little (a welcome treat), as breakfast wasn't until 09:00. Thank you Sylvia and Tinus, for making us feel so welcome from the first step and booking us a table at a restaurant.
Although half of our stay was without power due to wildfire nearby, our host and wife went out of their way to ensure our stay met our and their standards. All our requests were met with a smile. Many thanks to Tinus and Sylvia for a pleasant weekend.

We recommend that the facilities of the accommodation be set out in a pamflet. We were harassed by mosquitoes, blissfully unaware that there was a device somewhere in a drawer to ward off mosquitoes. Breakfast at 9am is also unusually late.
Friendly hostess, delicious breakfast, neat, comfortable rooms, view of the sea was indescribably beautiful. Great to just relax. Quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

On the Rocks is a superb B&B with wonderful hosts, safe parking, swimming pool and delicious breakfasts. The family's Jack Russell's appear at your breakfast table. Also look out for Egoli the gorgeous cat!

This guesthouse's accommodation is sub-standard. Towels poor quality, as well as linen. Poor layout. Rooms difficult to access with very narrow spiral staircase inside or with side path outside. View nice. Breakfast is not served until 09:00. We left at 08:00 and no person on duty. Had to activate the gate inside and run out through gate that was closing.

Good location, right on the seafront.
Tinus and Sylvia are two professionals who made sure that we felt immediately at home and thoroughly enjoyed our stay with them from the first moment. The guest house and room are located on the fairytale coastline at De Kelders. Every moment of our stay was an experience. When we left it felt like we were leaving friends behind.

A very friendly, well appointed and exceptionally clean B&B right on the rocks. The bedroom was of adequate size, the breakfast was of adequate size, the en suite semi-open shower (with gorgeous view of the breakers as you showered!) was of adequate size, the hosts' readiness to make last minute dinner reservations at the Blue Goose (usually one has to book days in advance!) was the clincher - this establishment is wonderful in so many ways. Thoroughly recommended. We hope to return one day.

From the very first moment right up until we left we enjoyed it. Tinus was an excellent host. He immediately made us feel welcome. He helped us with a flat tyre - took it off, had it repaired, put it back on and took us to our appointment. Room was cosy. Sea view to die for. Breakfast delicious. Really enjoyed our time there.

The area may be too quiet for a young couple. The owners were particularly nice and welcomed us and made us feel at home. It's very neat and peaceful.
It was truly like a home away from home. We felt so comfortable and Thinus is a great host. It will definitely be our first choice next time. We had a great time listening to his experiences and simply learned a lot about history. It was incredibly nice to stay in such a clean place and have all the amenities at our disposal. My only problem is that Thinus gained a few kilograms every morning with his delicious breakfast! We will definitely go back if we are ever around again. Not once did we feel threatened or uncomfortable.

A personal reception from Tinus with a clear explanation about the B&B and the possibilities in the neighborhood of De Kelders. Nice location, dark room with one small shower and washbasin. Breakfast is meager and not what we are used to in the B&Bs we have visited for years in the Western Cape. Swimming pool is not really inviting, without parasols (no shade) and fine deckchairs.
Me, my husband and four-year-old son decided in December 2013 to take our first holiday as a family! After two weeks of visiting friends and family, we were ready to be on our own for a while. By this time I had already talked to Tinus on the phone, but was pleasantly surprised by the friendly welcome! Extra effort was made to accommodate my little boy, who by then was out like a candle! We were immediately offered a drink, and asked if the arrangements with breakfast would suit us. If not, they will accommodate us as best they can! Never was this couple pushy, in the way, out of the way, or unpleasant in any way! Our room was fantastically furnished, so out of my Grandma's house. The view from the balcony was breathtaking, and falling asleep in the evenings with the sound of the waves in your ears is something we will definitely come back to experience! The breakfast was a delicious treat every morning with scrambled eggs and sausage formulated to make a smiling face, which made my little boy enjoy it down to his little toe! If you fancy a genuine and homely atmosphere, with delicious breakfast and fantastic views, I can just say, On the Rocks B&B is where you go LekkeSlaap!

It had been very quiet... pretty much rested after a long year. Will book again for a holiday, but this time just longer.

Tinus is very hospitable and his attention and support are highly appreciated. The view is fantastic. The mattress of the bed you sleep on is of durable quality and especially people with back problems will sleep very comfortably. The breakfast is so delicious and not greasy. Rooms are very clean and the staff is very friendly. It is very safe. This is a guest house where you can relax, sit on the porch with a lovely view.
